Unfortunately, the simple and pure facts, that smoking is a harmful, bad and very destructive habit, are not always powerful enough, to motivate people, to even make their first very important step, towards the effort of trying to stop smoking.

Most people don’t want to think about all the health problems that smoking can cause, such as hard attacks, lungs cancer, bad blood presser, etc… It's so much easier to ignore it and light up the next cigarette, then starting to fight with your physical and mental addiction.

The thing is, that mostly the damage caused by smoking, builds up during a period of twenty or thirty years and its not shown immediately. Therefore it's easy for smokers to delay the treatment necessary in order to stop smoking. And go on pretending that they are immune. The said thing about it is that when it suddenly strikes, its most of the time to late.

So basically, in order to stop smoking, we have to deal with the two aspects of the addiction. The fiscal and the mental, simultaneously, though with different techniques.

Understanding our smoking habits might be the first and one of the more important stapes in this battle. Be aware to your smoking habits and the smoking process, and always ask your self why? Why do I have to smoke it, will it really help me overcome what ever problem or situation I'm now smoking for? Or is it just a short term solution, and when this cigarette will be over I'll be back facing the same situation again. Only that ill be one cigarette less healthy and the cigarette companies one cigarette richer.

Therefore if you understand that smoking is bad for you, and you really want to brake free of this malicious habit, and really stop smoking, the first thing you should do is develop one new habit. The habit of putting your daily auto pilot smoking habit a side and develop a full conscious smoking attitude. Develop the habit of asking yourself why ? And be aware to the smoking process while smoking, to the negative affects it has on your body, and constantly ask yourself why ? Why am I consuming this high toxic stuff ? Why do I spend my money on getting myself poisoned ? Why cant I stop smoking ? Why ?
