Why do I do this?

Hey all; I am not sure why I do this to myself; I was doing so good; I had reached down to 137 pounds and now I weigh 149 again; I have been travelling since January for work got back in March and again travelled and have kind of not stuck to my routine and eating out does not help. I began enjoying my new me so much that now I am back heavier another 12 pounds. I used to tell myself I will never let myself go back there again and here I am; I feel terrible; I feel bad..anyways I have stopped feeling bad for myself now because I need to take action and control of the situation; so I have started my excercise program religiously and began watching what I eat...but it hurts why did I do it? Why did I repeat my mistake yet again?

It is frustrating.....
 
Yes it does suck, but don't beat yourself up over it too much. THe good thing is, you know what you need to do, and you've already started down on the right path. Look at the weight you started at..and see how much you've lost! Great Job!! Setbacks happen...it's what you do after the fact that makes or breaks you..and I'd say you have a good plan. To prevent another setback just remember to stay on your routine and remember the great feeling you get when you lose weight..and the not so great feeling you get when you gain. Hang in there!
 
Well we are all human, and we make mistakes. It's understandable why you did it again. Weightgain is so gradual that we don't even see how much we are gaining! The important thing is to not let this get you down anymore! Just start back at the beginning and keep the faith. Remember we're all in this together, good luck!
 
as Lucyfan says we are all human and we make mistakes but keep the faith that you can do it. I know it is hard I have been really struggling with this weight-loss and I have really bad weeks where I let my weight get the better of me and instead of exercising more I just eat more but I am determined to lose at least 20 pounds by the end of the year. Just go about it slowly so that you have a better chance of keeping the weight off. Make it a lifestyle change not a quick fix and you will feel better about yourself in the end!
