Because I LOVE food that is bad for me and once I have something bad the whole day is ruined - my self control does not allow for moderation. I love butter tarts, pizza, pasta, take out food, chips & dip, I could go on forever!!!
I'm with you on that, chubbygirl! I used to feel that if I ate something 'bad', that was it - might as well carry on for the rest of the day... or week... or month... I'm working really hard on changing my attitude so unhealthy treats aren't the end of the world as long as I don't overdo it. Sunday's are half a tub of Haagen Dazs days now... yum!
I do love food, but I realised it was more to do with not actually paying attention to what I eat that was the problem and understimating the damage...
For example, I went to do a health check and the doctor asked me how many take aways I ate a week. My answer was one or 2.
Then he asked how many meals I had out of the house and I realised that all my lunches at work could be considered take aways... Started bringing homemade lunches and started to lose weight.
Yeah... I LOVE pizza & pasta & eating out as well... Ive cut out most of it... now I have 7 grain pasta and only 1-2 servings... and if I have pizza only 2-3 pieces instead of the whole freakin pizza.
