Why aren't we checking in everyday?

Ok Guys...I know I am kinda still new to this forum...a month now. But I noticed that not everyone is checking in at all times. I come to this forum everyday to read for new inspiration....That is how it works right..That is how it works. To tell you the truth I usually see the same people posting. This is a new year and I think we need to motivate each other not just when we remember to check the board, but everyday. I am already on this board everyday and promise to stay on this board at least 5-6 times a week. Anyone else with me on this? Please we are here for a reason....We don't have to pay to join Jenny Craig, Nutrisystem, Weight Watchers...We have our support right here...Just eat right, exercise....and come here for support... :rolleyes:
 
hi im not new but somehow lost the site for many months cuz i dint have it in my favorites! but i plan on checking in more often again since i found it again :D
 
I agree... i have thought about trying out lots of different programs i had to pay for, but being a poor grad student, that just doesn't work... it's great to be able to come here and have encouragement from others, and to give it as well. Keep up the good work everyone!

Has anyone gotten a good exercise routine going? Do you have specific exercises you do each day of the week? I have been mostly jumping rope, but i want to have some variety in there as well and im not sure where to start... What are some of your plans?
 
i have been using my treadmill every day for about 3 miles. also using 3 lb dumbells and doing 2 sets of like 15 reps each 3 days a week. and about 45 crunches every day. but since my shoulders have been hurting i have to let up on the weights.

i wish i could afford a gym with all the equipment but cant so i do the best i can at home.
 
I'm on my treadmill too for 30min per day and same as wonderwoman have just started to include dumbbell exercise. Sometimes I use the exercise bike. As I'm writing this I'm still convincing myself to get back to treadmill coz I was on it for juz 4min and I jumpeed up. Your're right about motivation. Ever since I started exercise I've been looking for site about motivation to exercise. My goal is weight loss as well. Go go yeah! I'll get back on my treadmill in 10mins times. Sometimes there are things that we gotta do! (no postponing!)

Dont' get upset over gym membership,dear wonderwoman :) .I had one,cost me 600$ a year and guess what?Nopn,no results.Because somehow you always find an excuse why you can not get there(my personal favorites:I am really tired,I need to do so many things) you end up waisting your money and not getting anywhere with your weight.When you are one on one with yourself - that's where the results start to show up:you don't have any excuses any more - your treadmill is right in your living room,you just do it and that's it.So I wouldn't miss gym membership.I am doing so much better by just working out at home. :)
 
I agree I started posting about a week and a half ago and found that this forum has really gave me tons of inspiration. I mean pretty much I have been doing good with the exercising and even got my 3 year old in on it, she loves it! I wouldn't waste money on a gym memebership wonderwoman. Everything you need is at your house. You have weights and a treadmill. Maybe just purchase a couple of movies to help out. I have Tae Bo, Power Yoga (denise austin), The Firm series, and a couple of long nonsense ones. I also have an eliptical and weights. Just rotate and don't get bored, switch it up a lil. I never do the same tape day after day. When we get our taxes back I am going to buy some more for myself as well. But, yes I do like the support here, people should post more.
 
yah people should post more! sometimes when i look to see whos here im the only one :(

havin some pain today but going to use heating pad for a while so i will be able to do the treadmill today. bought 5 pound weights the other day, but thinking maybe i shoulda got 8 pounders..
 
I agree. I check in once a day to post, and a few other times to see if anyone else has posted if i'm using the computer. Otherwise i'm out. But this is a great forum! I just hope some people post more often.
 
You guys are all great! I'm so glad to have found this place and get inspiration all of the time. I am on a few times a day... usually after meals so i can quickly update what i have eaten before i forget =) It's great to see new posts, and i think some of our new people are really excited about this, and i'm glad to have all of you here!
 
I agree, a few times a day isn't bad in case someone is having a crisis. I try to post at least 2 times a day if not more depending on the temperment of the kids during the day. Sorry not a lot of posts today I was babysitting and stressing out. I think I grew about 50 grey hairs! hehe :p
