Why are you doing it?

Its funny, i read other peoples and they were my reasons also.
But i can only add one more to the list, and that would be 'to donate my kidney to my brother'.

Oh and for you guys who are doing it so you arnt the 'fat' mum cheering in the stands or picking her kids up . you go girl. It makes a HUGE difference in the kids lives ... i never realized how much until i lost so much.

-I wanna feel good
-I wanna feel good about myself
-I want to reverse the diagnosis of "fatty infiltration of the liver"
-I want to be a good example for my kids

Good post! My thoughts:

I want to look like just some guy, not some fat guy.
I want to buy clothes in sizes that don't start with X
I want to have kids in a few years and I don't want to be a fat dad.
I want to live as long as possible and not die from heart failure / diabetes / obesity related diseases.
I want to look good, wear clothes I really like, actually shop with an eye for fashion.
I want to prove I can do it.
I want to take my shirt off at the beach or pool and not feel self conscious.
I want to reclaim some old clothes in my cupboard!
I want to look good for my partner.

That'll do for now.

- Health concerns: don't want to suffer from osteoporosis from lack of exercise, have a higher chance of getting late-onset diabetes due to a BMI over than 25
- I want to be proud of my body, accept it, and treat it well - it will take me through pregnancies, old age and the rest!
- Vanity: I want to look more attractive

-Want to actually be in the same photographs and video as my son and husband and not be embarassed by my size.
-Want to fit into my old clothes. (and new ones too!!)
-Want to be able to eat a lovely cake or pastry and not feel guilty.
-Want to fit in at least weight wise when we go back to dh's country.
-Do not and will not allow myself to develop weight related health problems.
