I have an energetic Black American Bulldog (not a squat wrinkly faced bulldog.. looks like a lean tall pitbull) pics and info at that link. Anyhow, I don't walk him as much as I should, but I've been doing it more and more lately! Yes.... walking your dog is great exercise! and it's good for the dog too!

LOL I think the Amercian does look better than the British. no offense out there ^_^;

Yeah, the bulldog is one of the most overly bred dogs out there. Lots of health problems. All most all of the other bull dog breeds have some other bloodlines in them, so they breathe, and are just healthier.

I walk my dog an hour or more every day no matter what, unless it is raining. It is great exercise for both of us.

Would it be healthy to breed a bulldog with shih-tzu?

Dude, not cool. They want to be called "African American Bulldogs".

HA...a dog-related racism based joke. Either that's a new high for me..or a new low. Either way...aaaaawesome.

Not really racist, more like an ethnic joke. And I've heard, much much worse.
Anyhow, he some white on his underside and a slight stripe that runs from his nose to his neck.
He looks very similar to the black and white dog pictured below.

I have a german shepherd and a normal fox terrier (not a mini or toy... it's a regular sized dog). I personally don't walk them as much as I should, but they do get walked at least once a day. The fox terrier is overweight, despite being on a hardcore diet and getting walked every day for an hour... The german shepherd was overweight, but went on the same diet and exercise plan and is now a healthy weight. Very strange...

I have a mixed dog, got her from the pound. She doesn't get walked much, for many reasons, the biggest one is me being to lazy, the other being that she has many issues with the outside world. Other dogs, other people, rain, puddles, mud, things getting stuck to her paws and after 10 minuets she tries to get you to pick her up. A right nuisance she is!

I have a Jack Russell Terrier who I pleaded with my partner to buy saying I'd walk it everyday and it would help my weight loss. I failed and my partner walks him more than I do.

Having just started my weight loss journey I swear I will walk the dog more, starting tonight when I will accompany my partner (he works nights) to the train station.

I do take the dog for massive walks every Sunday but not nearly enough through the week. He is a very sweet dog and is as happy walking 15miles as he is curled on up the sofa. Its not fair on him though and must be boring so I will be sticking to this plan.
