AFirstly,I have also looked into weight loss supplements and aids, and I fooled myself into thinking they may work, and even though I haven' tried any, I can confidently say they are not good for you. They will mess up your metabolism, and if they make you lose the weight too fast, you will just regain it. You can't stay on pills your entire life so need to lose the weight 'naturally' and whilst this may seem slow (trust me I have given up so many times and am still not too close to my weight target) it really is the best way, it will also teach you to maintan your weight.
About the muscle thing, I don't know if you were joking, but you can only lift what your body is physically capable of lifting. As someone sensibly mentioned, you need to start off with lighter weights and gradually build up muscle. While you lift weights, and feel the burn, etc, your muscles will get tiny microtears, you will probably feel some sorenss but this will go away within a few days. When your muscle regenerated, it will grow back bigger, and as this process repeats, your muscle strands will keep increasing in size.
