Which exercise equipment would you recommend?

Hi, I'm new here (though not new to dieting!). I can't stand exercising, but I know that it's very important, and the key to maintaining weight loss. I'm wondering what is the best exercise machine/equipment that you recommend to be used at home (never gonna make it to the gym, being honest). What do you people use at home that you absolutely love? Also, what are the price ranges for it?

Any advice/recommendations would be appreciated!

TIA

I have a stepper, it's fun sometimes, but I think I'd better have an exercise bike it's probably funnier.

I have Wii Fit for the Nintendo Wii and a rowing machine I bought second hand on ebay for £80 in my living room which I use while watching TV in the evenings and a pair of running shoes.

I don't have a gym membership either and with sensible eating and a little activity every day I have lost 23 Lbs in 36 days.

Wii fit? How does that work :p

Can you really play a video game and make serious work out?

Can you give us a few of your hobbies? Maybe we can help incorporate what you already enjoy doing with exercising.

I like watching UFC. After a fight, I get a sudden urge to start punching things so I brought a punching bag home and now I'm punching the bag like no other. It doesn't feel like a chore either.

The Wii fit has a series of aerobic exercise to follow including steps, jogging and boxing. I used it exclusively for the first 3 weeks and lost 12 Lbs.

Only things I ever needed was a bike and a kettlebell. Bike for the summer, kettlebell for the winter when you can't ride your bike. You'd typically do a HIIT workout for anywhere between 10 and a maximum of 20 minutes with the kettlebell.

But the truth is that you don't even need that. The best piece of exercise equipment is and always will be your own body.

Thanks for your responses! The Wii sounds like fun - except I don't own one. Would you say that's the cheapest option when it comes to exercise equipment?

A couple of weights for strength training I think are good. I have a set of 3 lb and 5 lb I believe that I will starting to use again. You can find loads of exercises online through a Google search too.

I would go for a cross trainer! I feel that it's a safe machine, works lot of major muscles easy to use for everyone
