Where to start

I'm 5'1 130lbs. I play soccer once a week but will soon be twice a week. I'm looking to lose weight to get around 115 lbs (not as much worried about the number rather than the appearance) I am really worried about my abs and arms when working out b/c I get my soccer in during the week. Does anyone have any suggestions about workout routines? I like the elliptical. I just hate going to work out and have no clue if I'm really doing it right. Thanks!!
