I think California is a beautiful place with soooo much to do but I think THEY have crazy drivers..lol...the traffic is out of this world......

I was in LA back in May. Well, actually, Hollywood and I LOVED IT!!!! I didn't want to go home. My Mom and I went for 4 days and we stayed at the Renissance Hollywood Hotel. I agree, the traffic is out of this world but I was so excited just to be there that I didn't care! I will say that people in LA get very good use out of their car horns. I couldn't believe how many people blew their horns at other drivers! I want to go back one day soon. I think LA and Las Vegas are my two most favorite places in the world (well, right now... haven't been too many other places yet). Okay, now you have me wanting to take a trip!!

The San Diego zoo is by far the best zoo I have ever went to. If you are going to go you should definently plan on making it a whole day thing, there is sooooo much to see. We went to the zoo out here in Missouri and I was so dissapointed it took us about an hour to see everything. The only good part was feeding the giraffes.

I'm from a small town in Iowa, but I live in Nashville, TN right now while I'm attending graduate school.

Wow!!! KC-that is absolutley crazy!!!! is schooling free in CA though? Still that is just sooo high! I can't imagine that!
It sounds like everyone has had their share of paying a huge amoutn of rent! haha*
Georgia is cheap? well hmm something to look into :) I have a one bedroom apartment right now that i pay 360 + utilities .. not terrible!! But for up here it ispretty expensive.
Southern states have been more reasonable in pricing i've noticed ... anyone absolutley just LOVEEEEE where they live? I need to start somewhere and right now i'm just kinda going anywhere that looks appealing! I just need some sunshine, not too expensive, schools for radiogrphy, good job outlook ... fun!!
This is so cool that we are literally from all over the world!!! I would lOVE if that talk show deal worked out someday - this is really amazing!! I feel so close to all of you already! we're like a little fam :)

I'm from St. Louis, lived in NY city the last two years and recently moved back to St. Louis...and might be moving back to Manhattan next year...hmmm...seems like I can't make up my mind right? I love ny and I love the countryside so I always feel torn between the two places. But I'm single...and NY city has better looking men and better jobs and...ugh...two much to think about

...Yes it is....it blew my mind how much it is out here.....My fiance and I live in a 2 bedroom 1 bath apt......we have no pool, no apt gym..and there are only two washer/ dryers for a 10 apt complex.....and we pay $950.00 a month....and that is on the cheap side!!!!
My brother and his wife in Louisianna lived in a two bedroom/ two bath apartment with washer and dryer in apt.. fireplace, they had a nice gym.. 2 pools. hot tub...tennis courts..walking track....club house..gated...the works...and they only payed 1000.00 a month......this is when I start to miss my southern states....

$950? whoa, thats about what we pay for our mortgage each month!

Where I live

Hey everyone, I may be a bit slow on this thread but wanted to let you know where I am too. :) I am glad to see there are people from all over the place. I am in Alabama. I have been here for 6 years now but still a New Yorker at heart. We are in Millbrook, Al (close to the capital of Montgomery) Moved here for my husband's job. He has his Phd and is teaching at the Air War College (air force grad school if you will). I however am aching to get back to NY. Born and raised in Central NY/Syracuse area and am just missing that fall weather. Thankfully it has cooled a bit here and it feels "fallish".

Have a great week all.

I'm from a little town called Ingersoll. We are about 1.5hrs from Toronto Ontario. Not very many Canucks here? :D Unbelievable that I get motivation from people so far away!!

i think cdnboy (admin) is from canada!

I am from Indiana, I have lived here my entire life. It is a great place, I have lived in a few different parts of the state and loved most of them. :) I live with my wonderful husband and son! We could not be happier :p

I live in central North Dakota, and last Wednesday we got a foot of snow. The kids didn't go to school that day or Thursday. Our parking lot where I work had snow drifts as tall as me, and we all got stuck. You should have seen all us girls (I work at a nursing home) pushing and digging in the snow in our scrubs. It wasn't too cold and we were soaked, now all the snow is gone...this state has crazy weather.

yup, "I AM CANADIAN" (although, since an american company took over Molson's, they can't say that anymore :)). It seems i'm from the other side of Canada from everyone else ... right in the heart of BC (bud capital of the world - not that i would know). 40 C summers, and -10 C winters ... absolutely perfect!!
