Where do I start?

Well, I would like to access this amazing website and use it as a motivational tool through my p90x journey. However, where do I start? Which forum(s) do I use to document my progress, journal my thoughts, and have questions answered?

Let me know which direction to go (hmmmm..didn't mean to do that) and I will be so stinkin' happy!

You can use this forum. And, we would welcome it, greatly! :)

Just go to the journal section, and create a thread, name it what ever you wish, and start your new journal to document your progress, thoughts, and have your questions answered.

Pretty simple. If you need assistance, let me know.

Best wishes,

Chillen

You are very welcome. :)

What are your fitness plans? What are your personal goals?

Best wishes,

Chillen

Fitness Plans - P90X - I also walk 2-4 miles 3 days a week with my neighbor.

Fitness Goals - 1. weight loss and muscle gain - going from 189.2lbs to 145.0 lbs with lowering my BMI to 18.5. My current BMI is 28.7 which means fatty, fat, fatterton!

I am a high school english teacher and volleyball coach and think it is darn near time to start living up to the role model my volleyball girls seem to think I am. ;)

To Chillen

Hi again,
Maybe you can help me. Yesterday someone suggested that I post to the Diary section within the weight loss forum, so I did. Unfortunately, now I cannot find my original post. I logged in and went straight to the weight loss forum section and then clicked on the diary link and my post was not there. I tagged it "And away we go". If you find it will you, please, tell my how you did it. Thanks and sorry for the hassles of a rookie. :)

I will go to the WLF, and see if I can locate it, and get back to you, young lady.

EDIT: I see that you posted to the thread today at the WLF, and found it.

How about a diary/Journal here on this forum :(

We are smaller, but much better! :)

Best wishes

I don't know how I stumbled across these words of wisdom, as this thread was posted so long ago, but I am grateful I did. May I have your permission to share this with my volleyball girls? My coaching philosophies go beyond simply teaching skills and running plays. I try to challenge my students and vball girls to step outside of themselves and see the needs of others, impoving their character and integrity. May I share this with them?

FIRST ONE:

Are you willing to change?

Your life right now is the result of the things you have done up until this point in time. If you want your life to be different, you will need to make changes. Wishing for a better life won't make it so. In order for "things" to change, you must be willing to change. That means getting out of your comfort zone. It means facing your fears.

You are remarkably adaptable. If you've made it this far, you have already gone through many major changes in all aspects of your life. From being an infant to a toddler to a child to a teen to an adult, the first few years of your life were filled with constant change. You are certainly up to the task.

Almost always, the fear of change, the fear of the unknown, is worse than the change itself. Once you understand this, then you realize that it is easier to change than to resist change.

There are things you need to do, changes you need to make. Go ahead with them. Don't waste your energy fearing them or resisting them. Dive right in and do what needs to be done. Change is a constant part of life. When you fear it, it will happen anyway, out of your control. When you embrace change, it will enable you to reach your goals.

And number two:

Scrutiny

What if everyone knew your secrets? Would that change the way you live your life, the way you conduct business, the way you act when no one is looking? You may not live and work under the close scrutiny of others, yet it pays to act as though you do.

Scrutiny imposes discipline. If we're certain that no one will ever know, we're more likely to take shortcuts. Yet when we know that others are watching, we're more scrupulous about everything. That is almost always a good thing.

Though the world is not always watching you, the fact is that every action you take has consequences, whether you act publicly or in secret. If what you do today could not stand up to the scrutiny of others, then someday it will catch up with you.

Live as though the world is watching, and reap the many rewards that discipline and integrity will bring.

And to whom ever is a Father 2morrow, happy fathers day!

The absolute POWER IS IN EACH OF YOU! Today is tomorrow and tomorrow never comes

Of course you can share it with them. I am deeply touched and humbled, with you asking me.

The way to establish a relationship with Spirit and access the power of this creating principle is to continuously contemplate yourself as being surrounded by the conditions you wish to produce.

Much success to you, young lady. :)
