I get John Berardi's newsletter. Here is a link to his last one. He just did a study at University of Texas about exercise and weight loss. Nothing shocking but its always good to read actual study findings instead of just some rambling.

One thing that did surprise me was the benefits from just adding a supplement.

Also he does have a few adds in the article trying to sell his books and programs but hey, a guy has to make a living and he has a great reputation..
 
Good article. Too many people say, "hey, I worked out... that means I can stop by McD's and still drop weight". I find that when I'm working out, I'm motivated to eat better.
 
Yeah I hope everyone reads to the end. This isnt a "get out of the gym free card" just emphasis's that nutrition is the most important. I knew that but in all honesty I was still surprised at how small the difference was. I wonder if the subjects were doing like you said. Eating more because of the WO's.
 
I'm sure they were. Most people who work out and don't watch their food intake subconciously eat more because they've burned more.
 
hey the trixies and chads at my gym are all about working out so they can support their alcohol binging habits.. and attempt to look good to pick up each other.. :D
