Yeah, I'm not buying into this wrist thing. When I was heavier, my wrists were visibly fatter. The wrist watch I wore then is way too big now, and I wore it right at the wrist.
My wrists are 5.2" and i'm 5'2.5. So i'm small framed. I always knew that anyway, i have tiny wrist and anklse and really skinny lower arms for some reason- when i lose weight at first i look ill because my arms are so out of proportion, until the rest catches up I have strangely wide hips though.
Hmmmm... my wrists are 6.2" and I am 5'9"... that makes me small framed. This completely shocks me... I've always considered myself large framed even when I was a lot thinner. Could I possibly just have small wrists? haha
I'm a guy who is 6'2''. My wrist size is just barely 6.75''. So I guess that means I am medium frame. I always have thought I was a large framed guy. I do admit though, my wrists have always seemed really skinny to me.
Wrist size... hmmm. This is where I disagree. Some people put more fat on their wrists and ankles than others. I have slim wrists and ankles but my hip bones are way bigger than most women I know. Also, this way of measuring doesn't take into account the density of your bones. There are big bones and there are heavy bones.
for what its worth, i am 6'3", and my wrist size is 9.25"... which makes me something like a XXL frame or something i guess... and my wrists are not fatty either, lol
my wrist is 5inches around...........I'm 5'2" i wear a size 5 or 6 shoe..........well just wonderful.......that means that i have even more fat to loose than i thought!!!!
I've never been so happy as to say I'm big boned! Confirmed and glad I can weight a little more than my skinny small boned buddies, since I always have anyway lol.
I'm 6'2 with 2 different size wrists. My right one is 8" and my left one is 7". I broke my right wrist really bad in 8th grade so i'm guessing that extra 1 inch is the result of that. i'll just take the average of the 2 and say i'm big boned.
I am glad to see a thread on frame size. I have always been large boned and knew it. I am 5'1" and my wrists are 6.75, with tape measure pulled tight around . I have gotten tired over my lifetime of seeing ideal weight charts and weight loss programs that what every woman to be a size 0. I learned long ago that I will never be that size 0. The smallest I have ever been was at age 18 and I was a 3-5. A friend of mine who was that same size weighed 30 lbs. less than me. This is how I have known my bones are larger/heavier. Even now, I am only 1 size larger than my mother but I weigh 60 lbs. more than her. It is also for these reasons that I hate BMI calculators. Those only take in consieration height and weight and do not account for actual body fat. I will probably always be considered obese or even overweight on a BMI calculator.
One good thing about being large boned-- I have never broken a bone! Once I was in a car accident where my leg absorbed the entire impact when I used it to brace myself in a head on collision. I have permanent nerve damage at the point of impact on my shin, yet my bone didn't even break after that!
My wrist measurement was almost 7''. My height is 5'3. I not only am big boned but I do think I have heavy bones. Last year I had a bone density test done and the results were off the charts!
I have fallen twice in the past on my icy driveway and was surprised I didn't break my hip either time, so I guess I can be thankful for that!
