What's the difference between. . .

What is the difference between the the dumbbell biceps curl, the ez bar curl and the barbell curl?

Isn't the same muslce (biceps) being used in all 3 of these? So what's the difference?

its the same muscle being used, but different exercises. You could use them all to get som varaity in your workout. Generally, i have read that straight barbell curls hit the biceps more, because of the hand position. If you use an ez bar, the hands will be more rotated.. get it?
The difference is really nothing to get hung up about.

Agreed, though I would recommend if newer to training I would utilize dumbbell work for a while to lessen the likelihood of muscle imbalance or using one arm more than the other without realizing it.

Dumbbell curls hit your Biceps Brachii which is your "peak" when you flex, bigger peak means more dumbbell curls. Barbell curls are primary mass builders, targeting your Biceps Brachii and your Brachialis (the muscle below the Biceps Brachii). Some curls like Zottman curls target the Brachioradialis which is the linking muscle to the forearm and bicep, giving you better proportion.

Dumbells allow for more freedom (hands/wrists can move/rotate freely so as not to become overly stressed & also this can allow for some training variety that bars don't allow)... plus each hand lifts it's own weight, so a weaker hand is without the added help from the dominant hand unlike bar-exercises.

EZ-Curl Bars allow for a grip that's less stressful on the wrists than a straight-bar.

A straight-bar hits the biceps a bit differently than an EZ-bar. Some people can handle straight-bars with little or no problems, while others (especially those with highly-flared-out arms) find that straight-bar usage is hard on their elbow joints.
