The one you can best live with and follow consistently. Its just that simple, most diets and systems can lead to weight loss, if you stick to it.

Result is don't think there is any one right answer, it varies from person to person. Read through some of the diaries and you'll see what I mean.

Hard to say, can you tell us more about yourself and your diet?

I lost 11 pounds in my first 2 weeks, but then that slowed way down, its not too unusual to lose a lot at first. But I was pretty fat back then and went on a relatively low cal diet pretty much cold turkey. I suspect a lot of my rapid loss was really loss of water weight and clearing out of my system.

And hey, congrats on the 8 lb loss, that's a great start to any diet.

I don't remember the name of the system, but I know it works and it has a lot of testimonials, If I remember I'll PM you.

it depends where you are in relationship to a healthy weight. if you are 10-15 lbs over a BMI=24, yes, three lbs/week would be a bit drastic, but if your BMI is in the 30's, then no, three lbs/ week would be rapid, but when i was there, i was dropping between two and 2.5 lbs/ week and i wasn't really exercising much, i just rearranged my eating habits along with gaining a much better understanding about nutrition.

No such thing as best, and that is the hardest thing to learn. You have to adapt when needed and that will never change.

I agree with everyone.
Perfect system is totally individual, since it has to give you two things: caloric deficit, and longterm sustainability.

Some people do good on keto, some on high carb, some on vegan, some on lchf, paleo, zone... some prefer 1 meal a day, some 6 meals a day. It really depends on person's habits, mentality and lifestyle.

There is no one good system which works for everyone, it's impossible.
