What's the best exercise for weight loss? Cycling vs Running.

If you're a beginner or intermediate starting exercise in the hopes of getting leaner & fitter, I STRONGLY recommend getting into cycling. With cycling, anyone at any fitness level can jump on the bike and get going with little risk of injury.
With running and other high impact sport, it can take years to build up a decent foundation. You have to start small and slowly build it up -- people who can hardly run around the block can cruise around on a bike for an hour as long as they take it easy.

Exactly, so many newbies get excited and go WAY too hard in the beginning and end up hurting themselves/burning out quickly. With cycling it is much easier to take it easy & put less stress on the body, meaning happier body and a much more enjoyable experience.

Obviously running is far better than Cycling.

I would say cycling is good if you have injured your joints, or people also use cycling in there rest days from running. I think with weight loss it all depends on the person, lets say you can only run for 10 minutes, but you can cycle for 30 then i would say cycle is better for you at least to begin with, this will help build up your CV and after a few weeks you can add running to your training program.
