whats my tummy going to look like...

Its something i wondered what my stomach will look like after loosing this weight if it will have that attractive flat stomach look, i have a son hes 3 he left me with stretch marks not cute and i know those dont go away and i have a scar on my stomach from having my galbladder removed 2 months after i had my son via c section. so yeah anyways i wonder if anyone had a before picture of their stomach, and then an after of what it actually looks like. Im sitting at 227, and id like to be around 125. I am extremely curious on how i will look. i mean only time will tell, i will be extremely happy to be there i just wanna be able to wear a bikini something dainty. hah.

Derbydoll, I have the same concerns - I have some stretch marks from my daughter (who is now 5) and an appendix scar too. Its not the marks on my stomach that bother me - just that its all kind of lumpy here an there - rolls of fat but the scar makes them uneven and I can't help thinking of the "muffin top" that's never meant to go away after pregnancy!!

Has anyone got any experience? I started at 238 and am hoping to end up around 140lbs. I know that there will be a point where the fat has mostly come off and its ab work and toning from there on...

im pretty much starting at the same weight as you, my goal is slightly lower id like to be at 125, tho we shall see when i get to the 130s how i feel about that but i know i have a small frame and im okay if i can get lower as long as i have curves in a sense of i want a booty, but not a fat booty lol. But ive seen post by maybe one person when they were at their 170's and their stomach toned down to like nice abs im like woah i want that that that! it was inspiring for sure.

First off I'm a guy and don't have "pregnancy" stretch marks nor have I had any surgery in my stomach area. However, I do have stretch marks from being overweight. We are still young and the elasticity on our skin is still there. As long as the weight loss is gradual the stomach should bounce back and get flat. Myself, I have never had what I would call a sexy flat stomach in my life and I'm nearly 31.

As for the stretch marks and scars, there is a great product out there called Mederma. It works wonders. When my daughter had a chemical burn on her legs, it healed up like there was nothing ever there. I have tried this on some of my scars and they are nearly unnoticeable. Fresh scars do not tan well and stand out like a sore thumb. But after I used this stuff, the scars tanned just like the rest of my body.

Anyhow, that's my two cents. I probably talking around in circles and confused everyone including myself. But I hope you got what I was trying to stay.

I'm trying to get the ovarian fortitude to post my before pics...including stretch marks nearly up to my ribs from having a huge set of twins and a third who weighted almost ten pounds (seriously, my stomach looks like it lost a fight with a Cuisinart)...hopefully I'll get the nerve to post them and we'll see how it turns out as I go. I want to be down around 120-130 because I'm a bit on the short side. But it's my stomach, and the stretch marks, I'm most worried about. I'm also afraid that even after I get down to a good weight I still won't be able to wear a two piece in public because the stretch marks will look gross.

As for the Mederma, I had a huge amount of that after I had surgery to have half my thyroid removed. I was supposed to use it to bring the scaring on my neck down, but I was using it on my stretch marks instead. I really don't mind my scars so much, I think they make me look unique since it means that no one else has gone through what I have. But stretch marks are another story. Mederma worked ok on the shallower ones on my chest, yes, they even tan now when they didn't before. But it did NOTHING for the deeper ones on my stomach.

I only have one really deep one and its pretty much near my c-section scar so that wont really ever be seen by anyone except my partner whenever i uhm get another partner haha, but the other ones are pretty thin but i see them you know, and i really wanna wear a skimpy bikini one day. hah. I saw some post about bio-oil whats that in comparison to maderma?

Honestly everyone is different. YOu could see a photo of someone who had loose skin and visible marks and another picture of someone the same age who lost the same amount of weight who shows hardly any visible signs.

Making sure you eat healthily, stay hydrated, and take care of your skin (moisturize it and care for it) are the best shots you have at maximizing good results. But the bottom line is that it really is genetics that has the most influence on how you'll look when you're done.

Being 268, excess skin and sagging is my biggest worry. im exercising every day, because personally i can’t think of anything worse than spending all that time and dreaming of your new body and trying to achieve it. Only for it to be ruined by a constant reminder of what i used to be.

your stomach looks perfect and dont believe anyone who would tell you something different

its not anyone telling me things, its me telling me things, whatever anyone says wont make a difference good or bad, but what i personally think of myself means all the difference in the world
