Whats a good distance to bike/cycle for fitness?

I am already relatively fit. I want to keep it up and get fitter and more healthy. Whats a good distance to bike/cycle for fitness and toning ( not doing it for weightloss but a little weightloss wouldnt be a bad thing) And how fast should i be biking???

Cycling is an awesome workout.
How much is enough largely depends on your fitness level, type of bike and terrain.
If youre a newbie on a crossbike then 15kms 3 times a week maybe a good way to start, take your time and enjoy the breeze, should take you about 40mins. Distance can increase inversely with the time as your get used to it.
