Sport what works for you?

on a whim i started looking threw the nutrition logs today and found a lot of great info. it got me thinking on how my diet is right now. i don't like to be too restricted to anything because it just makes it harder to stay on track, so here is what i found that works for me. please share what works for you, because everyone is different and the only way to improve is to learn new ideas to try :)

my diet is simple. 3 meals a day (military chow hall)
one meal
-2 servings of non processed meat (mainly fish, yum)
-2 each fruits (one banana for potassium)
-1 serving complex carbs (rice, potato, or natural oat meal)
-1 glass 2% milk (i wish they had whole)
-1 glass natural juice (apple and grape for me)

snacks options (because you get hungry)
-a fruit
-a protein bar
-natural trail mix
-any flavor i crave at the time in moderation and in a healthy form

like everyone i cheat sometimes, because if i didn't i wouldn't stick to it. i just try to think before i eat it and limit it as much as i can. like if they have there home made really good cake at the chow hall i will sneak a piece in save it for last so i am full and have a few bites to satisfy me.
