on a whim i started looking threw the nutrition logs today and found a lot of great info. it got me thinking on how my diet is right now. i don't like to be too restricted to anything because it just makes it harder to stay on track, so here is what i found that works for me. please share what works for you, because everyone is different and the only way to improve is to learn new ideas to try
my diet is simple. 3 meals a day (military chow hall)
one meal
-2 servings of non processed meat (mainly fish, yum)
-2 each fruits (one banana for potassium)
-1 serving complex carbs (rice, potato, or natural oat meal)
-1 glass 2% milk (i wish they had whole)
-1 glass natural juice (apple and grape for me)
snacks options (because you get hungry)
-a fruit
-a protein bar
-natural trail mix
-any flavor i crave at the time in moderation and in a healthy form
like everyone i cheat sometimes, because if i didn't i wouldn't stick to it. i just try to think before i eat it and limit it as much as i can. like if they have there home made really good cake at the chow hall i will sneak a piece in save it for last so i am full and have a few bites to satisfy me.
hope to hear from everyone
