What is your greatest Fitness achievement so far?

Just the fact I have continued to go to the gym, week in week out. OK partly through a mixture of fear and repulsion of how I look in the mirror (getting larger every day despite the gym) but I used to hate sports at school, I still do not like exercise but I have learned to tollerate what I do, to understand the consequences of going with my mood (which wants to skip the gym. Forever).

So the fact that I do around 8 hours hard cardio (eg running on a steep incline, cross training, spinning...etc) plus an hour or two of muscle work or floor work, then a total of 3 hours stretching, (any warm-up, cool-down not included) it just wows me every week as every week I am still the same 13yr old girl at school who is paying its raining outside just so we can have a lesson in theory rather then have to run anywhere or move what so ever!

Aside from that, getting over shin splints/posterior tibial tendonitis myself when my doctor was clueless (though not sure why, it was pretty obvious- a classic case) I worked out how to keep training, exercising whilst getting over the pain. Yes it took longer but I did manage it and am able to do things that I was unable to before the pain started, train in unique ways, learn about muscles I'd have otherwise ignored. If anything at all, exercise has given me more weight (not happy about that!) and an interest in how my body and the muscles within it work. That I am impressed with. The interest I have found, that feels like an achievement to me- an interest.

Nothing outstanding....

But from a personal level i recently cut 17lbs of fat in 6 weeks which was the first successful fat loss diet i've ever done and stuck to. It was just to prove to myself it CAN be done :D So that is an achievement as of late......

When I first met my current wife I remember shagging her for about 2 hours straight and about 10 times that day.
I bloody wish I had the stamina to do that these days!

I know what you mean! Nowadays its like 'think of another woman' pump pump......20 seconds later its job done.

I've gotten my systolic blood pressure down 25 points. I've gained 20kg since I first started lifting weights (although it hasn't been a steady increase). Nothing too remarkable. On the other hand, every time you make a mistake, you get a little bit smarter. My fudged shoulders, back and knees tell me I'm very smart.
