What is your exercise schedule?

ATM, I'm aiming for every day, but my uni timetable is so stuffed up and changes every week, so I have to change it around. I haven't lost weight all year.

I lost 20kg last year by exercising EVERY night after my daughter went to bed and going on lots of walks (to uni, park, friends' houses).

I'm guessing I should get back into that routine.

I'm lazy. I pretty much work out only about 20 mins a day and only when my new baby is calm/sleeping. I try to exercise during commercials if I'm watching tv. That's about the only schedule I have.

short workouts are the key

I have two kids and had a lot of trouble trying to 30 - 45 minutes into my day during kids naps, eating, grocery shopping, work, etc., I found I could get in a great workout just 15 minutes in the morning and in the evening doing what are called "short burst" workouts. I combined this with foods that burn more energy and found great results with this.

Hope this helps,
Ana

My exercise routine changes all the time, depending on my children.

Most afternoons I push my daughter in a pram and my son rides his bike next to me. I try to do this straight after I pick my son up from school.

At night when the children are in bed I do my weights, stretching and ab work.

Then as a whole family we try to climb a mountain once or twice a week. We carry the little one.

If I can't take the kids for a walk I just run sprints across out backyard. It's 1/4 acre so it's quite a good few sprints. They just play on the trampoline etc.

Monday-Fridays... I drive my boys to school and the baby and I go walking/jogging at 845am. Once summer hits, I go to the gym and do what I can in the parenting room. The baby never lasts to long in their though, so we go to the indoor b-ball courts and I let her play in there while I run laps and shoot some hoops. I also ALWAYS throw in some lunges in my routine!
Saturdays...the whole family goes to a local park w/ hiking trails and we hike, or hubby baby and I go jogging while my boys play at the park.
Every night we take the dog for a 1/2mile walk.
Sundays are my days off from excersize. I like to spend the day in my PJ's hangin w/ the kiddos! =)

I work from 7am to 4pm. My BF picks our son up from daycare since he works right down the street from it where as I work about 30mins. the opposite way. He usually picks him up around 4:30 and is home around 5:00pm. Once I get home I get my workout clothes on and go for a good run. Most of the time they aren’t home yet when I get back. If they happen to be home before I get off work than my BF watches him so I can do my workout.

It varies.

Monday's & Wednesday's: 5:00AM-8:00AM
- I have classes during the day so I need to get my work-out done early in the morning. I prefer working out early in the morning :)
Tuesday's & Thursday's: 9:00AM-1:00PM
- I have personal training at 9AM so I have to wait until 9AM to start working out :p
Saturday's & Sunday's: 7:00AM-10:00AM, 3:00PM-6:00PM
- Honestly varies. It just depends when I have work. Some day's I have an 8-9 hour shift all day so I have to squeeze in a work-out early in the morning. Other day's, I start early but I get off by 3PM so I have time to hit the gym after work.

I think my best is when i get up before the kids.. but if all else fails i put the older ones in my room with the tv and put the baby in his exersauser and he loves watching me look like a fool doing those tapes.. and in the summer i go for a walk when DH gets home from work ..

I'm still trying to figure that out. I'm going to start going to the track at night once my husband gets home from work. I would like to do it first thing in the morning before everyone gets up, but that would mean getting up at 4:30am before my husband goes to PT in the morning. We have three kids, so I have to work out according to their schedule. I thought being a stay at home mom would make it easier to work out, but it's harder. My husband sometimes acts like my job is to wait until everyone (including him) is done doing what they want. It makes working out harder sometimes.

i know what you mean about hubby thinking you should wait.. sometimes it is like i have no life of my own.. I live their lives. I am mom of six.. we have 3 at home and i feel guilty if i take time for me, but that has got to change. I want some me time too.

I walk to drop my daughter off at school in afternoon (5 minutes each way). as soon as i get back, i put my toddler to bed for a nap and work out for an hour. then I hit the shower, wake up my son from his nap then walk back to the school to pick up my daughter.

I'm new but I thought I'd post to stay motivated. My regular daily schedule consists of house work usually, then yard work out with the horses. 30 mins on the Gazelle machine (like jogging), some work with weights or on the Total Gym for 10 mins. I'm trying to be consistent and not injure myself again. I also plan to throw in a boxing routine since it works the core so well (and that's my big problem area)

I work and I'm not a morning person, so I exercise in the evening. I usually go to the gym between 7:30-8:30pm and do 1-1.5 hours of weights and cardio 3-4 times a week.

I don't do that much cardio, 15-30 minutes total on a good day. I prefer free weights.

I've changed my workout routine. After thinking about it, I want to get results. If I work out after everyone is taken care of, I'll never get it. Now I get up at 4:00am before my husband wakes up to go to work. He can be in the house with the kids while they sleep and I can focus on working out. We live across the street from a track, so I go there and it's working so far. It's only been two days but I power walk/jog 2 miles. I was going to wait to jog until I hit 4 miles of walking, but I decided to run 1 mile and power walk the other at least starting out. I'm gonna do that 5 days a week, I don't have particular days. When I can I go and if I can't I'll just use that as my off day.
