What if spot reducing really worked?

I was thinking about this today for some reason....

Back in my younger days I thought (and was told by many people) that the secret to losing your belly and replacing it with killer abs had nothing to do with exercise or diet, just hundreds of sit ups a day.

The fact I am here now is proof positive that didn't work. (ah to be 16 again)

But.........

Can you imagine if it DID work? :)

I can picture it now.... People walking around the beach showing off those 6 packs, but with all the back, arm, leg, thigh and chest fat still in place jiggling about...... :S

Just a thought....

I can honestly say I wouldn't like it.

I mean, yea, from one aspect it'd be great to be able to get shredded so easily.

But nobody would be strong, since that high rep toning crap doesn jack all for strength.

My main pursuit is strength and peformance.... physique comes secondary.

ahhh but what a physique...

:sigh:

hey if
We must
we must
we must increase our bust

complete with isometric exercises actually worked

there'd be no IBTC members :)

LOL, "Are you there God, it's me, Margaret!"

That would be pretty funny if spot reducing did exist. I'd probably be a tiny little waisted thing with a gigantic butt and tummy!

I loved that book :)

When I was in 7th grade, as a good little catholic school girl, in plaid skirt ad saddle shoes, before britney made it "sexy" I got almost detention for 2 weeks because as the editor of the school paper I wrote a book review of that book -and let it go into the paper... My parents got called in (lawyer and english professor :D - last time my parents took my side on anything) and they got scolded for lettig me read such garbage :D
