What I eat in a day - Diet Start

My health is so much stained over lots of issues I had but I still feel healthy! I don't let my health problems stand in my way. :smash:

I have been feeling better (aka = no dizziness after workout until next day) since I started eating something right after workout and changed a little but my meals.
While I was having Greek Yogurt (plus oatmeal and fruits) as lunch, right now I am eating this:

Example 1 = 3 spoons of rice prepared with lots of spinach, small portion of sweet potato and Brussels sprouts prepared with tomato and chili

Example 2 = Lots of mushrooms prepared with tomatoes, shredded chicken, spinach and chili spice and a spoon of chicken peas

I am eating the same amount of calories for lunch but with a way higher diversity of food. And started eating more chicken (while before I would skip it since I am not a meat person).
Right after workout I eat banana usually but yesterday I had a small chocolate/yogurt bar snack (I checked the nutrients, calories etc and it felt safe).

I am thinking about ways to increase my water intake as it is ridiculously low (I drink my whole bottle during workout but during all day I am not drinking that much water).

After one week still didn't felt much of a difference. However, it's harder to push myself to non-stop run at my 30min cardio since my legs feel so sore. But I have been doing a lot more cycling training too.

I'm pleased the dizziness has gone. Try to drink more water. Food is sounding better :) Keep up the good work & you will see change.

Before, I would run 30seconds or 1minute at the most and feel like I couldn't run anymore and I am not joking!
I think I just found my pace (I don't believe that after 5 days pushing myself in gym my body already is transforming into a super hero). Also, I started listening to music while doing it which pushes me even more since I kinda stop thinking about time or soreness or anything and take the "melody wave" as boost.
.
I think what you are doing is excellent PumpkinChan! That's kind of the way it goes with exercise. Your body will gradually acclimate to whatever consistent rigors you put it through. You might not think your body is transforming into a Super Hero...but actually...it kind of is. It is transforming into a SuperHero Muscle building /Fat burning machine. Just because the scale isn't going down doesn't mean you are not burning fat...you are actually doing both...but...as you know...muscle weighs more than fat. And yes...water...and plenty of it! Gots to stay hydrated.

Also, a portion of Greek yogurt as Cate said would be great after a workout...with water...if you can do that within an hour of finishing your workout so much the better. Eventually, when your body has changed its metabolism...you will begin burning a lot more fat and that is when you will see results on the scales. Stay Positive! You are doing great.
Eat Less/Move More!

I couldn't help it but check my weight this morning.
I started 5th January, which makes today 13 days of diet+workout. My weight dropped from 83kg > 80kg (80.6 but still 80! hell yeah!).
I had to weight myself because yesterday I ate really junk, oily food at dinner in a celebration. I even pushed myself way harder at gym knowing this.
I increased the levels of difficulty in the machines I use and the weights I lift (I also was feeling like those levels weren't that challenging anymore though so...).
So... from my 20kg goal, 18kg to go.
I know I can't just go crazy and beat myself in gym in ways that will end up hurting myself. I am not doing crazy things. I am going at my body pace. But, today I think I will go earlier than I use to to the gym and stay longer because this loss of weight gave me such a boost in my motivation! :)

One important thing...
Before doing my membership I was afraid of giving up (and end up paying the whole year for nothing), However, I am enjoying it. I am not going to the gym as a daily torture. I am really enjoying! I feel good after workout and I feel the need to go there, the excitement of going there just like I would if I had a new computer game at home waiting for me to play it (I am a gamer so... haha).
This is actually being a pleasurable thing for me to do.

Protein - now the only thing I am trying to plan is my protein intake. I am adding sometimes shredded chicken in my meals. But half a breast. And I keep on decreasing the meat portions without realizing because I am not a "meat person"... Not that I am vegetarian (of course, that's not what I meant, I eat meat) or that I even dislike it. I just don't feel the need to eat it. And I want to increase my protein intake so I am thinking about ways to do it.

So, checked my weight during the weekend. It fell back to 81kg.
I have been following my diet and exercise so, this doesn't matter to me. I will not let this stop me.
Today instead of having yogurts for pre work out I will eat 2 eggs. I am getting tired of the sweetness before workouts.

I don't eat sweetened yoghurt, only low-fat, natural Greek-style yoghurt. It's sharp, but you get used to it. Adding fresh berries really makes it delicious plus some almond meal adds extra protein.
I also love eggs :)
You are doing well & will see the results:)

Thanks Cate, and thanks everyone taking time to read this and to follow up. Is really wonderful to have someone cheering up for us and it motivates me as well.

So, I would like to share the results I am experiencing after 2 weeks of diet/workout routine:
- my stamina has increased (I no longer run out of breat after "running" from the station to the office at mornings)
- while I would have oily skin in the morning, right now my skin is way better
- my body feels harder... if it makes sense. not feeling like im made of jelly beans anymore :smilielol5:
and...

80.1kg - my first goal has been achieved today!

So it went faster as expected since my "deadline" was on Feb 3th

Goals:

Start at 5th/January > 84kg
1st Goal - 3th Feb 80kg ------ achieved at January 23th
2st Goal - 3th March 76kg
3st Goal - 1th April 72kg
4st Goal - 28th April 68kg
5st Goal - 26th may 64kg

Yesterday I beat my treadmill record when it comes to run a certain velocity constantly. Now I am able to run 4.8mph almost without stopping (when I stop, its a minute or two to drink water, change music or catch my breathe a bit more). In half hour running (as always) I run 2.13 miles. Very happy with this progress but I don't think I will be always reaching this values since this was a hard session really trying to beat my record. And I did!
I will continue building up my endurance, want to be able to run longer without getting very tired, breathless etc. I am really happy with my goals since I have so many respiratory issues, I am not fit, I am not really the best runner. :)

About my weight, still hanged on the 80kg but since my goal was to be 80kg my 3rd of Feb, I am not discouraged :)

Updates after a while...
Currently I feel like I am making no progress at all and my motivation is being dragged away with this feeling of failure, despite enjoying going to the gym.
My weight is no longer 80 but 81.5kg. I peeked into the pictures my boyfriend was taking from my body each week to try to find a bit of motivation and my body did change a bit. Not enough to boost my motivation still. Not saying that I will give up but this last weekend it triggered me a bit to have chocolate and other kind of "no no" foods while on diet. And then came the guilt and the feeling of having some more since I already had messed my diet. But I was able to stop and I am trying to insist with it.
Last week, for the last workout days I wasn't able to run. My knee was hurting a bit so I just set the treadmill to a lower speed but have it inclination (15%) and was still a good I think. It was hard for 30min, I think I did my best. But, since my knee was hurting, this was my cardio replacement and for the rest of the workout, I just lifted weights. I am able to lift way heavier weights than before. So maybe I just got muscle and that's what the scale is weighting (I want to believe this too...).
Will try to stay strong, stay motivated and keep on going with it. One day, 2 or 3 days of screw up will not destroy a whole life change if I keep up with it. I know it.
Stay strong people!
