So, just being on this board you can see where peoples values of what is the "right way" to come onto the forum. I have seen quite a few people being ripped a new one or being talked down to because of their choices and methodology for losing weight.
I will admit I have given my $0.02 around here when I see someone doing something blatantly dangerous (not eating enough, eating things that can lead to health problems). So I am wondering with so many methods of losing weight what to do you think is not/should not be considered losing weight the "right way"?
There are:
Meal replacements;
Pills;
Weight loss supplement drinks;
Too much exercise;
Eating too little (not eating disorder related);
Surgery;
Crash/Fad Dieting
and if you can think of any others.
And, if you feel they are simply not compatible with a healthy way of life; why do you think that way? Personal experience, scientific fact, media portrayal, what you read on the internet, word of mouth of others?
I can see how this can turn into a debate, fast, simply because many people here may find all of these useless or inappropriate, some may find some of these things to be wrong, and some may see nothing wrong with any of them. My only real intent is to see where some people stand, because the vibe I get here is unless you strictly eat right, within calorie range, and the right foods, you're not doing it right.
So, have at it if you wish
If you want to add anything please do so.
Also, I completely welcome anyone's point of view, whether it be thinking all methods of weight loss are "wrong" unless you do it strictly moderate calorie restriction with the correct foods and adding in some exercise, or even if you believe weight loss meal replacements and pills are the cure all. Again, I am just looking for different peoples point of view.
