What multivitamin do you take?

What's Best?

I take Advanced Centrum...

I also take Triple Strength Glucosamine Chondroitin Complex Dietary Supplement..{Contains lots of shellfish} - Great aid in building healthy joints/connective tissue..

I have Rheumatoid Arthritis so this is helping me greatly! {Have it in 100% of my joints} :(

{I had rheumatic fever at age 12 bc the dr. did not treat me for strep throat. :mad: I had gunk all over my tonsils and gunk/sores on my throat..Bc the strep test came back neg- she did not give me anything..I did in fact have a very bad case.. It settled in my joints and 3 days later I woke up screaming bc it felt like I was bein' stabbed all over my body.
I was in the hospital for 3 weeks bc I was crippled. I was havin' heart problems as well due to the fever.
I had to go to Scottish Rite Hospital until age 18 for PH-Ther/Rehab.}

Anyway, just wondering if there is a "perfect vitamin" and any other supplements that are helpful?

This is totally off the topic, but I was wondering if you knew the typical onset age (if there is one) for Rheumatoid Arthritis?

rheumotoid arthritis can kick in at any age... I was tested for it when I was 18 - and found to be negative... when i was training for my breast cancer walk over the summer, one of my training partners was diagnosed with it at age 22 - but had been in remission for a few years... as long as she took a thyroid replacement (i thinkt hat's what she was on anyhow)

How do they diagnose it? I've been having knee problems that don't go away with rest and I really don't want that to be it >.<

rheumatoid arthritis, and arthritis are different things (at least from what I understand) RA is testable via a blood test.

Have they taken any xrays or mri's of your knee?

so you'd rather speculate on the internet than know the truth?

Step away from the computer and call the doctor and make an appointment... NOW!!!

More than likely it's nothing but you don't know that until you make the appointment... and if it is something more than nothing, you deal with it.. but it's better to know than not know.

Question at hand:

I don't take any multi vitamins -i track the essential vitamins thru my food log and using my favorite resource The World's Healthiest Foods - I make sure I get enough vitamins thru what I eat.

I tried taking vitamins - and I'd either forget to take them, not eat before i took them and get nauseaus, or just get distracted... I'd have vitamin pills all over the house from where I left them when I was supposed to take them.

There's a thead or two here that extoll the virtues of fish oil pills and I tried that for the sole purposeof younger looking skin and better hair -and after about 2 months - saw no improvement other than I could burp like nobody's business -i gave up and decided salmon was better :)

My mom was taking the glucosomine supplements for her regular arthritis and saw no improvement at all... so if it's working for you - that's fantastic... I"m not 100 percent sure there's a perfect vitamin out tehre -I'd probably track your food for a week or two and use supplements for where you're coming up short...

:rotflmao: @ burping like nobody's business! :D

Yes, the supplement does work!

A friend of the family that has taken it for over a year is now out of a wheelchair! {was in a horrible car accident}

Slow improvements were seen after starting them..

With me, I don't get as stiff and the pain is not as often.
I hope to see more improvements once on them longer. :)

Thanks for sharing!
