If we all post what we eat on a typical day then it's an easy way of sharing some daily eating plans. Can we include portion sizes too, please?

Breakfast: Small bowl of porridge with skimmed milk.

Lunch: Cheese sandwich on wholemeal bread. No butter and small amount of grated cheese.

Dinner: Salmon fillet with rice and steamed vegetables.

I snack on raisins, banana, sunflower seeds or apple.

I am new to this, so if anyone thinks my daily plan is less than ideal, please tell me.

Breakfast is varied, but it usually includes one of those Campbells soup cups (60-80 Calories depending on which one) and some fruit.

Mid-morning snack will be raw veggies (bell pepper & cucumber) or more fruit.

Lunch during the week is a subway sub or salad (240-320 calories) and on the weekend, we go out one day (My wife eats whatever she wants, but I have to be careful and research my menu choices before we go) and the other day is Shrimp (6 calories each) or chicken breast (31.2 calories per oz) and veggies.

Mid afternoon snack can be more soup or fruit, single-serving lite popcorn (100 calories) or a hard-boiled egg.

Dinner is usually steamed veggies, sometimes chicken or shrimp (not a fish eater) or even tuna-salad. Desert is a 15 calorie popsicle or more fruit.

Not a super-varied diet, but it fits in my 1000 calorie a day plan and keeps me from getting really hungry.
