Basically, I'm a new guy here, and I don't have a clue what to eat. I'm very flabby. Not just big, but very flabby. I'm 5 foot 9 and used to be around 130 in high school during my sophomore and junior year. Senior year, I stopped paying attention and let myself slip a bit to 160 pounds. College year was a big fuck up for me, though, and I eventually found myself around 204 pounds. I tried to lose weight and so far have dropped to 193. I tried eating around 2300 calories a day in addition to exercise, but that didn't do much. I got more results eating only 1800 calories a day.
I need better nutrition, though. I've only been paying attention to calories and not the actual foods I'm eating. I want to be losing fat without losing too much muscle So can someone tell me exactly what to eat? I'll be eating the exact same thing every day until I lose all the weight I want to lose. So someone please tell me exactly what and how much to eat over the course of a day.
Some things I should point out first:
I'm a college student, and I can't be cooking. I don't have access to a microwave, frying pan, oven, or any stuff like that. I can't be putting stuff together, so I need food that I can just pull out and eat without having to prepare it. They also have to be foods that I'll be able to find at Safeway, seeing as how that's the only grocery store within walking distance of where I live.
Please make sure the food you tell me to eat are somewhat low in sodium and give me enough fiber. I hear that's important.
I'm not looking for a perfect diet. I want a good diet, but not a perfect one. What I want is to be eating more healthily than what 80% of Americans. That's good enough for me.
I want my food to taste good. Obviously, I can't be eating the stuff I like such as burgers and pizza. I know that. But I do want the food to at least be sort of tasty. Nature Valley bars are a good example. They taste pretty good. Obviously they aren't perfectly healthy, but they're healthy enough. I'm sure fitness buffs would be able to nitpick and find all kinds of little details that are wrong with Nature Valley bar nutrition. But they are kind of healthy- and that's good enough for me, because they taste pretty good and I can see myself eating them every day for months straight.
So if any one can write some kind of 1800 calorie plan for what I'm going to eat on a daily basis from now on, that would be much appreciated. Thanks.
