Hello everyone, I am new here, I live in NC, Im 31, rollercoastered my entire life with my weight. SInce last Oct life has been more stressfull then ever and I started to binge eat and gained some weight but really did not realize how much until yesterday. I started a new job and went for a drug test but the test here is included being weighed and blood pressure check. I am only 5'8 and found I was the most I have ever been at 343lbs my hert dropped when I seen the number. On a good note my blood pressure was good.

Well through the past I have done low carb diets and worked out and would start doing well then some reason I just give up. Well some how even with working 12 hours and 4 kids at home I am going to need to find time again to go to the gym and need to change my eating lifestyle like TODAY.

Welcome! Congrats on deciding to make a change! However before you dive head first into another specific diet I have some advice:

I suggest approaching your weightloss without the word "diet" in mind because it signifies the temporary. What is your normal eating like? It'd be good for you to log what a normal day of eating is for, then add up those calories and plan to eat 500 less calories and incorporate 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercise into your day. That way you're more likely to stick to an eating plan forever.

Unfortunately you will always have to watch what you eat for the rest of your life, that's just the way it is. So you shouldn't follow a "diet" ie. low carb, atkins, etc...unless you plan on following it indefinitely because once you lose the weight you may resume to your previous eating habits and this may be the cause of your "rollercoasting". Also be aware that it takes time and you have to trust the process, it may be a couple of weeks before you see the scale move, that's okay, just keep doing it and trust the process. Be diligent about everything you eat, track and log it, and weigh your food and adhere to portion sizes.

Do you have a smart phone? if you do there are great apps that help you log your food and track your progress, many are free. I use "lose it!" it's free and it's helped me lose 40lbs so far.

Good luck, good luck, good luck!!! We're all here to help.
