What am I doing wrong?

Hello, all. I'm in need of some help from more advanced weight-losers to see what I may or may not be doing wrong.

I'm a 19 year old male at 5'10 and 200 pounds. I'm trying to lose about 5-10 pounds. My diet consists of natural foods and low fat yogurt, and I run at least 6 miles a day at 7.5mph. The problem I'm facing is that my weight-loss has plateaued. As stated, I eat right, exercise vigorously and dedicatedly, and I even use weight-loss supplements. But my weight refuses to drop past 199, even though I've weighed less before.

Please forgive me if this issue seems silly, but It's a real problem for me, and I'd like to figure out what is prohibiting me from losing this weight. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and if you have ANY idea what may be the issue, I would LOVE to hear what you have to say!

Are you counting calories? If you aren't doing so, I'd suggest you do it.

It is really the easiest and most reliable way to make sure you aren't over-eating.

That should do it. Even eating only healthy, real food, you can still eat more than you should if you're not careful, and that would stall your weight loss.

That's the thing, though. I eat average sized portions of food, 3 meals a day, no snacks of any kind. That's why I'm really surprised that I'm not a twig.

Well, what happens is; you could either plateau because water retention is masking fat loss (several factors such as sodium intake, carb intake and hormones such as cortisol affect this), or because you are no longer in a caloric deficit and you are no longer losing fat.

If you are sure that you are on a deficit, then you could wait in the hope that the water weight will go away eventually.

But if you are no longer on a deficit, you will not lose fat, there is no other way around it. You can either cut total intake down or increase activity. That's why counting calories is important; you need to make sure you are eating and staying at a deficit every day, and It IS pretty easy to over-estimate how much you are actually eating.

How long have you been stalled? I should mention that you could stall for 1 or 2 weeks, and that could be water. But if you are still in the same weight after 3 weeks, then you have a problem.

You should at least try tracking how much calories you're consuming (don't change anything just yet) on your average day just to see where your at. You can use Fitday or My Fitness Pal. There are also several apps you can try on your phone, too.

I really can't suggest anything else other than that.

You can easily over-estimate how much you eat by using spoons and cups to measure your food instead of actually weighing it. But if you're not trying to measure at all, it can be even easier.

Here is another one;
