Hi everyone, new here and really seeking some advice. I have a 50 pound total weight loss goal, and so far I have lost 10. I am not "calorie counting" because I think it is frustrating and unnecessary when I practice self control. What I *am* watching is my sodium, sugar, cholesterol, and fat intake. I avoid alcohol, processed foods, fast food, and sugary carbonated drinks. I eat fruit and vegetables at every meal, and drink a lot of water. My exercise routine consists of 15 minutes of cardio before breakfast, and 15 minutes after dinner.
When I first started really trying to lose weight, eat better, and exercise more, I measured my waist at 33 inches. Size 12 jeans were a wee bit too tight and size 14 were a wee bit too big. A month later, I have lost 10 pounds. I measured my waist again, and it's 34 and 1/4 inches now! Size 14s are getting snug and size 12s won't even button!
I don't understand this! Why am I getting bigger when I lose weight? What am I doing wrong?
