What am i doing wrong?

About damn being a swear word. If you wouldn't say it in front of a priest (unless speaking in biblical terms) it's probably not something you should say to people you don't know who are asking for help.

I know people who don't think fuck and bastard are offensive words. lol I think a lot of people would beg to differ. Again, words they more than likely would never use in front of a priest.

We got our points across. Let's not continue to beat a dead horse.

And that's really the bottom line. I'm most aggressive when people don't take the time to read around the forum. They expect immediate, personalized advice. And they want that without even taking the time to include any applicable information about themselves.

IMO, they aren't entitled to such help given their complete lack effort. That doesn't mean I'll write them off. I'll still offer advice... it will simply be in an aggressive package, is all.

I'll be happy when my forum is open. The members there will know what to expect and that will be that.

I understand. Really, I do. :) It wasn't the information or your aggression that to me was the problem and the reason she or he got offended.

Good luck with your forum by the way. They sure take a lot of time and work.

Since I don't give a damn (pardon the pun) about religion, a priest would probably the first person I'd say it to. Followed by a stream of other prophanity that I wouldn't usually use at all, but that's a completely different topic.

Hmm...why would it make a difference if it's a priest or not? You either use those words or not. Oh, and a little anecdote...when I was born, the priest told my mother, and I quote 'I don't want you or your little bastard in my church again.'. Nice, huh?

Don't get me wrong, I am not into swearing, I don't shout profanity all day, but some peeps are just over-sensitive as far as I'm concerned.

I don't see what everyone has against beating dead horses. Its not like they can feel it. I mean who would beat a live horse?

Forum Etiquette on pretty much every forum in existence is to read the stickied threads first before posting and familiarizing yourself with the lay of the land BEFORE posting.

And introducing yourself is also general forum etiquette...

There is nothing...nothing...I wouldn't say in front of a priest. And I was brought up Catholic.
