What Am I doing wrong?

Im on a 1,200 calorie diet, I walk 2 miles a day. I know i've only been on this diet for a week but last time I was on this diet in the first week I had lost two pounds. I'm getting discouraged. If anyone has any tips that would be helpful throw them my way. I also could use some help on a menu. I eat the same breakfast same lunch every day. Well let me know something. kami
 
what is your current weight?

1200 calories is very low, especially if you're walking 2 miles a day... what made you pick that as your plan?
 
well Back in september I join this weight class with the hospital and thats what they put me on. Im 4'9 23 years old and 145 pds. Im very overweight for my height.
so its not what i picked its what the doctors had picked for me.

I have just found out that walking a mile a day just burns 45cal. so Im starting tae bo again today in 1 hour you can burn 800 cal. Do you think that is a good idea? Help!!!
 
Well, based on your weight and hate, 1200 calories isn't that bad.

You aren't all that big to begin with, so losing the weight will be very difficult. Perhaps incorporate some sort of resistant training in your current routine. Some HITT training may do wonders as well.

Thats all the advice I can think of for now. Just have faith and the weight will drop off. Also, make sure to drink plenty of water.
 
What exactly are you eating? I'm wondering if you're counting calories correctly and are they clean calories like fresh fruits, veggies, lean meats, beans, and whole grains.
 
my reco is get a scale... weigh everything you eat and log into a program such as fit day. this has worked wonders for me... no guess work

I have been eating only chicken mainly grilled some nuggets but only 3, 3 oz pork,salad with every meal, I just bought fruit yesterday (I think thats what I was missing) drinking strickly water and as of yesterday I cut out all breads I was eating 4 slices a day which was more than likely my problem aswell.Ive been eating eggs every moring but Im thinking of changing eggs to oatmeal.
I have a list of food that the hospital gave me that list the calories and how many points they are worth. Im on a point system Im allowed 16 points a day which is the least amount of points you can have. Does this answer your question?
