What Am I Doing Wrong!

Okay Here is my question, I have been overweight all my life, a month ago I finally decided to join the gym. I have been working out for 5 weeks now 6-7 days per week, strictly cardio..20-25 treadmill and 20-25 min bike...I have not lost much weight. I haven't been eating great, but I don't eat bad to begin with...I don't drink any drinks with sugar, I don't eat fast food..I stay under 1800 calories per day...Why am I not dropping weight with 45-60 min cardio every day....
 
Hey...i remember reading about that somewhere, but anyways....go to and found out how many calories you need, u may not be eating enough. Make sure you eat plenty of fruits, veggies and lean protein.
 
Start strength training and rest properly. 1800 calories may not be enough for you OR it may be too much. Can you give us a little more info? :D
 
I am 5'3 210 female, I workout 7 days a week 20-25 min treadmill 3-3.5 speed 2.0-3.0 incline, then bike for 25-30 min..

My average day eating is:

zone bar w/juice

lunch: sandwich from chikfila, or something similar

dinner: grilled chicken w/skin,

all diet and unsweet drinks..

an occasional cookie or piece of cake during work hours..

I sleep 8-9 hours per night..

The only thing I think I lack now is water

I try to watch what I eat, but don't deprive myself...if I want wings then I will eat wings...

Ditch that piece of cake. That is likely working against you.

Anyways, you're quite the large lady, aren't you? Not to make fun of you, just saying that if you've been like this your ENTIRE life, than it could possibly genetic. For this to work, it will take LOTS of time. If I expected to get EVERYTHING I wanted in 1 month, I would have been not waking up anymore at 5 AM everymorning and working out for 50 minutes.

Anyways, time, nutrition, and exercise.

Seriously though, STAY THE FU@# away from that pieca cake. :mad:

This is a guide and you might need to adjust. Start drinking water (at least 2L a day) and your taking in a good bit of carbs you should decrease that.

Don't drink any soda or fruit drinks. (diet is not TOO bad)

Start weight training its more important than cardio in my books for weight managment.
 
it seems to me your not eating enough.

it may seem strange, but eating to little can really work against you.

If you've used the calculator to figure about how many calories you need to lose weight, now take that number and split it into 4-6 or more smaller meals throughout the day (every 2-3 hours or so). Try to have some of everything in each meal (carbs, protein, etc.) and make sure there is some protein in your "breakfast" meal. Also avoid eating later in the evening.

ok im gaining weight again, i got down to 121-122lb and now im 122-123lb i know its not much but for me it is!!, maybe its that pizza i ate but i havnt had pizza for so long so i thought 1 or 2 slices wont hurt but now im regreating it. also my parents r keeping a close eye out for my weight loss, they dont want me to lse weight they actully want me to gain some, im like noooooooooo!!!!

You need to throw away that scale. I can gain up to 4pounds through out the day sometimes but when i wakeup after my fast i'm back to normal. You really need to figure this out dude. Its quite silly to me to fuss over such minor matters.
