hey everyone, just thought i'd stop in and introduce myself.the name is justin. im 23 and live in chicago. i thought this would be a good place to run into some good people with the same goals as i have. i'm 6'2" and currently 385lbs. disgusting. i've always battled with weight. in fact, i was born a healthy 12lbs 4oz :) i was a football player for years and wrestled all through high school. i still maintain an active lifestyle. i'm a mechanic so im running around all day. i make time to take my dog for a 30-45 minute run at least 3 times a week. i'm not quite sure why but my weight fluxuates like crazy. easily 10-15lbs a week. i still remember being 250 about 5 years ago. but when i graduated high school my weight balooned. ive had my gallbladder removed and i've also had 3 knee surgeries. anyway, i know it's a stretch, but i'd like to get back to my original 250lbs. i'm setting the goal for about 2 years. so, thats me in a nutshell. i hope this works!

Hello!.. It can be really tough for former athletes after they stop playing their sports. Your body is used to taking in a lot of calories, and you can't do that anymore. It really sucks!
Anyway... WELCOME... you're in the right spot, you just need to stick around, follow a plan, adjust as needed... and keep going!
I agree,... weight fluctuation like yours' is very usually, maybe you should try to stick with a bit more consistant diet? I'm really not sure.
You're really on to a good start to lose weight, but what's important is that you identify a plan for healthy living and stick to it.
Also... set goals to lose 3-5 lbs for week for now (it will be less weekly when you weigh less)
If you're not meeting your goals, just adjust what you're doing..... if you're losing too much weight, just eat more!
If you lose 3 pound per week, you'll weigh 313 lbs in 6 months. How does that sound? not too bad, huh?
See you around!
