Hello! I am a consultant by trade and am here to learn and get support as I continue along to great health!

A bit of history. I have been overweight my entire life. In high school, I was able to carve some of it into muscle while playing football, but several injuries (broken vertabra, separated shoulders) sidelined me for a few months and I was back at it, gaining weight. I am 6'8". In high school while I was in tremendous shape, I weighed 335. My goals right now are to get down to 315 and then decide what I want to do.

I currently weigh 402lbs, having lost over 60lbs since I started on this path about 14 months ago. I had plateau'd and gotten lazy, so I am off from a low of 370lbs. However, I am on a great path again, having lost 8lbs this past week.

Currently, I am doing this by controlling consumption to 2000 calories, and I get 30 minutes of exercise 6 days a week. 3 days cardio and 3 days resistance. It is incredibly frustrating to struggle with doing barbell bench presses with the same weight I could dumbbell curl with 18 years ago, but I am committed and am hopeful to hit my goals next year.

Anyways, thank you all, and I hope to post more soon!
