Hi all,
1st time to site, registered straight away! Any tips or advice of where I should go from here?? Are there any groups for those of us with a long road to travel???

Hello All!:)

Well, here I find myself (again) battling the "bulge". Ongoing since hitting my 30's, argh! What IS it about getting BETTER with age, but bulging more!???

I have a good attitude about it, as I have won past battles, but the war is on again! I'm here to learn, encourage & generally meet others with the same "mind-a-tude" :)

Life is a journey---sometimes it's "lumpy" but always interesting!

SusyQ122!:)

At it again...

Hello, all I am doing it again trying to lose weight. Every week it is a new diet but the last 2 weeks i have been really committed and have seen real results. I work out at least twice a week and i am really busy with my 3 boys. I am looking to hear from others and how they stay focused. Often times I lose control and just give up but the summer is coming so that is my inspiration. I hope I can meet serious people and learn alot from each person i come in contact with. My goal is to lose 30 pounds and keep it off.

take care and best wishes to everyone.

hello everyone, I am new to this forum and trying to figure out my way around it, so any helpful tips would be wonderful. I am 46 and need to lose about 60 pounds, and now that I am older am struggling, any ideas for eating would be great!!

welcome to the forum - you probabbly want to start yourself up a diary -it's a great place to record your challenges and successes... and also to get support and ask questions :)

I'm 42 myself and in the past 10months have dropped 130 + lbs so don't let age be a factor -you can do it at any age.

you also probaby want to get yourself an account at and use it to record you daily caloric intake -it's tough to cut back when you don't know what you are takking in to begin with.

welcome and have fun

Hi everybody....my name's Connie and I just joined. I need all the support I can get....I'm 38 and got divorced about 8 months ago and completley let myself go....although I've dropped 16 lbs in the past 2 months!

I'm currently down to 158 from a high of 176 a couple months ago.

28 more to go!

Connie:)

Hello everyone!
I just joined today in hopes of having some help and motivation during my weight loss. I recently had my second child 6 wks ago and am ready to start my weight loss journey. My goal is to lose my last 15lbs by May. My strategy is working out 5x a day for 30 min cardio, 20 min strength training, followed by 10 min ab work. Good luck to all who are also in a quest to lose unwanted pounds!!!!!!! :) :)

Hello everybody!! Whas goin on? My name is Aimee, and I am new to this group. I decided to sign up for some support and motviation. I am overweight, and I am determined to get it off. my first goal is to lose 20 pounds and move on from there. but my problem is that i am very impatient and just wish that the weight would just fall off. my self confiedence is really low and it sucks and i know my weight has a lot to do with it. i am currently a full time college student, and i work part time at my local hospital.. i just joined the gym, and go 4-5 times a week, and i have been trying to watch what i eat.. can any of you please give me some more tips/advice to follow!? it would be very much appriecated.. and im very happy to meet all of you.. feel free to p/m me!

Hi, I've only been a member about half an hour, and am having a little trouble navigating. Where do I fill out my weight goals and weight loss information? I want to do a ticker, and have it show on my posts.

also, I can't find the calculators. I know this stuff is staring me in the face, but i seem to have blinders on.

If you go to the main index for the Weight Loss Forum and scroll to the bottom of the page, there is a section labelled Tools and Calculators. (or get to the same place by scrolling down this page to where it says "Forum Jump", click on the arrow then click on "Tools and Calculators" in the drop down menu.)

Many people go to the "Weight Loss Diary" section and start a new thread there which becomes their own diary and use it to record information about their own stats, goals etc, as well as talk about what is going on for them.

There is also a separate "Weight Loss Table" section which you might want to use.

People create their tickers elsewhere then import them into their signatures.
I don't have one but could probably work it out if you get stuck.
There is this post here in the Newcomers Thread which is about making tickers.

Welcome to the Weight Loss Forums! It's a friendly place. I hope you get what you want from it. :)

PS I have replied to your other post too.

Hi I am new here, and really need the support to lose the weight and inches I want to lose, in the past I did lose weight, but not the healthy way, it was due to stress and not eating and well now I want to do it healthy and keep it off for good.

Hi new to group and need help restarting weight loss.

I am hoping to get some ideas that really work. I am 58, have sleep apnea and can't go upstairs in my house without having to stop and catch my breath. Over the last two years my breath has been getting shorter and shorter. I now weigh 220 but started at 230 two weeks ago. I lost 10 pounds rapidly the first week by doing low carb and keeping my calories under 1200. I am exercising by helping my son move to a new house and yard work. I have high sugar and cholestoral. I am on meds for each. I am also on exffexor and trazadon (spelling ?). I started taking metamucil two days ago for constipation and hydroxycut to jump start my weight loss again. The last week I have stayed at 220. What will help my start lossing again? I need to get down to 190 pounds for my health and I hope it will help with my breathing. Besides I certainly don't look sexy when I look 8 months pregnant. :D ha ha Thanks Rylan
