Hi! I'm another newbie (der) and my name's Jennifer. I'm 5'9" and 175 lbs and sick of it! I'm tired of only taking pictures of myself from the shoulders up. I hate looking at pictures of me that were taken by anyone other than me because I'm disgusted by what I see. Other people can be my height and weight and be cute, but I can't stand seeing myself like this. I want to lose weight but am extremely lazy so it's hard to get motivated despite the fact that I like working out and I can remember what the end result looked like... I joined here hoping to find other girls and women like me, or even not like me, but with a common goal. So anyways, nice to meet everyone, and I plan on popping around the site to see what I can find. :)
 
I've done a lot of exercise before, but after starting studying by the University I don't have the time anymore. Then i realized how easy it is to gain weight.
I think the problem is that you are used to eat what you want and how much you want, but that doesn't work when you stop exercising. :confused:

I had a similar problem after my junior year in high school.. My senior year I didn't enroll in the advanced P.E. class i'd been taking the year previous and that, along with other factors, caused my weight to shoot up... Stress really gets to me... I'm an emotional overeater sometimes lol.. I also make excuses for myself... :rolleyes:
 
I was wondering if any one could help me, I would like to add the ticker tracker to my profile and I have not been able to figure it out. if any one could help that would be great.

Hi I'm new

Hi I'm new. I weigh 14stone 1 and Ive just recently lost a stone. Used to wiegh 11 stone two years ago but due to a traumatic break up I ate myself up to 15 stone. Hopefully I'm going back down to were I was before. Its very hard though and the weight seems to be coming off very slowly. :doh:
 
Hey everyone, I just joined today =]]. umm im 16 and im at 237lb..i used to way 270 but i got down 220.But i got off my rutine and gained some back and im lookin to get down to 210 and im glad a found such a helpfull forum =]].

Hi everyone! I am Michelle. I am 26 and have 8 months until my wedding day. I need to lose 40 lbs to drop the rest of the 81 lbs I gained while pregnant. I thought if I joined here, it will help me with motivation to get those damn lbs off my body. If anyone has any tips or advice, please let me know. I have an idea of some things I need to do, but I am always up for more suggestions. Thank you.

Hi everyone! I just joined today and am so happy to have found this site-it is great!! I am a 36 year old woman, living/working in Tokyo and need to lose about 70 lbs. I have just been lazy in my eating habits-going out to eat too much, working long hours and not enough exercise. I have just ordered the Herbalife program off Ebay which should be here next week, so I am serious about getting on track again-Herbalife worked well for me years ago, but I went off it and THIS happened:( I have also joined the gym again-why I quit I'll never know, cos it always made me fel better! Basically, I am hoping to make new friends and get and provide motivation here. My confidence is so low and I feel heavy and horrible...I need to get this weight off because it is holding me back from enjoying my life! Please write to me if you have time, I would love to hear from you! Best of luck to you all-we can do this!! xxx

you seem like the type of person that sets a goal and really sticks to it, only to have a result of pure success! Good luck to ya! :)

Ok , well, Hi everyone! My name is Carey. I am 20 years old and just recently i stepped on the scale and realized I had gained 25 pounds overnight! Actually , no... it took me about 2 years to get here, and I am determined to get back down to 130-135 ish. I am 5'5 and 160 pounds. Never in my life have I been overweight. I definitely have some image issues , though, and ive become a bit addicted to working out recently. Anyway, thats me. Great to be here... I hope I can find some support while I'm on this journey of weight-loss. Thanks!

I just found your site today and joined.
I hope to lose some substantial weight. I have lost weight once before on the Atkins diet. I am mid 40s and really hating my weight. I am 5-7 and 220 lbs. Would be happy to be anything under 165 where at least my health would be better. I suffer from long lasting syptoms of Lyme disease and have Plantars Fascitis in one foot. So I need to eat less amounts and excersize. I have a farm with horses and goats which keeps me somewhat busy and strong. I am married and I hope to get my husband to lose weight as well as we aren't getting any younger.
 
I can relate to what you are saying, about not getting any younger, I too have planters in one foot, and no matter what I do I cannot get rid of it!!
 
Wow, I never checked this thread out. It looks like a lot of newcomers come in here and post their intro. That's too bad as I don't think a lot of people check this thread from the looks of it.
