Weightloss Princess saying HI for the first time

Hi everyone,

I am brand new - just discovered Weight Loss forum and think it's a great support community for the weight loss journey.

Since I started my weight loss program 16 weeks ago today I have lost 17.2 kilos or 37.8 pounds. The program I am on is the Cohen Lifestyle Program

and for me it is the best diet I have every been on and believe me I've tried a lot. Pritiken, Fit For Life, Vegan, Atkins, Zone, Dr Phils Ultimate Weigth Loss Program, CSIRO - none compare to the Cohen Lifestyle diet.

I have made a blog which has my photos and my journal - from where I started to current and I want to continue this right into maintenence and long term. Please feel free to visit and say hello. The reason for my blog is so I could use my weight loss journey to encourage ofthers. I've sent it to all my friends and suggested they forward my blog's link to anyone they knew swho needed a weight loss breakthrough. So far it has encouraged some people which is so cool.

Weight loss is a very personal thing I've found. No one can make you lose weight - no amount of teasing and riducule and hassling or advice could make me lose weight till I was ready. And I talk about that on my blog.

You'll notice that there are some AdSense ads on my blog (I may as well earn ad revenue if it's being offered I say). One thing I find that is very interesting is the vast range of different weight loss products out there and I find it educational to click and explore what these are all about. Some are blatant fads and gimmicks - I wonder how these can exist and find customers.

There is also a massive amount of information about weight loss - it's very confusing. Some are blatant fads and gimmicks - I wonder how these can exist and find customers.

I have found that the Cohen Lifestyle diet works for me so well. When choosing a diet that is right for me I take into account these 10 criteria.

1) It has to be healthy - it cannot be harmful to my body or mind or the planet

2) It has to be reallly work - not just empty claims or over promising and under-delivering.

3) It must be something that fit's into my lifestyle - I am very busy and I don't have time for going to the gym or doing a massive exercise workout every day. I HATE the gym - to me it is such a waste of my time (that's just me - you may love the gym).

4) It has to be affordable - I don't have a lot of money to spend and I can't afford luxury detox health farm holidays for a month.

5) It must be something that works straight away - otherwise I am not motivated. If I'm going to sacrifice and cut right back I want to see fast results - not in one month time - but NOW. I've heard people say "The slower the weight loss the longer you'll keep it off". Well personally, I am not motivated by snail pace weight loss.

6) The food must be NICE to eat. I don't want to eat health shakes or eat nothing but cabbage soup and apples for a week, or eat stacks of meat and cream every meal. I like variety - salads, vegetables, grilled fish, meat and chicken, delicious soups, curries, casseroles etc.

7) I don't want diet food delivered to me - especially if it's frozen - I love to cook and I want to make my own food. I want to eat fresh and healthy.

8) I don't want to go to weekly weigh ins and diet clubs - I just don't have time for that. It must be something that works without me turning up for a face to face support group.

9) I don't want to count calories each meal. BORING!!!

10) It's got to be based on a commonsense strategy, with a program that is well organised and structured to bring success if it's followed. I don't want to do weight loss that is based on silly, harmful, frustrating, ad-hoc principals. That just doesn't work for me.
