Weight Loss Tip If You Own A Dog

This one is easy... just share your food with your dog more often and you will eat less. I only give him things that are good for him like meat, eggs, cheese, etc. Since I've been trying to lose weight, I've done this more often. My dog hasn't gained any weight either, he just eats less dry food. If I'm making a turkey sandwich I take a piece off of the sandwich and throw it to my dog. When I'm making scrambled egg whites for my son and I, then I scrape a little in the dog's dish. I've found myself doing this more frequently since I've been recording my daily calories. The same goes for leftovers. I try to leave a few bites on my plate to give the dog. It is easier for me to do this than throw food out, because it doesn't seem like a waste. This might sound insignificant but it adds up if you do it every meal, every day. Your dog will like it too. :)

I would worry a little about your dog overeating and you undereating.

I don't fully see the point of doing this if you know you're going to do it every time. Why not just make smaller portions?

Yeah, scraps are not good for some dogs, as they can gain weight. I have a hyper Queensland Heeler that never sits still and is always rail thin, so it is not an issue for him.

I think that I tend to put more on a plate than I need and sometimes cook too much for my son and I as well. It is just a small way to decrease your calories. I usually limit what I feed him to eggs, beef, poultry, fish, cheese and rice.
