Weight Loss Question

Hey. I`ve been thinking to take this weight loss trip for some time now but i'm ashamed to say this but i cant find ANY nutrionits in my town. :banghead: o far i`m 24years old and i got 164KG at 1.87cm and this situation is starting to get really frustrating. So what do ya recommand i should loose a week? I was thinking to loose 65kg in like 3-4 months. If that is even possible :willy_nilly:

65 kg, that's nearly 130 lbs...I was 365 lbs (165 kg) when I started, and even with too few calories and some exercise, it took me a year to lose 130 lbs.

Trying to do that in 3 - 4 months might be possible, but it would be extreme, and certainly not healthy. You'd also run the risk of putting weight back on rather quickly afterwards (like I did...:().

I'd aim for slow and steady weight loss, about 2% of your weight (in your case that would start you at 1.6 kg, or about 3.5 lbs) per week, so in 4 months, that would get you down....let me get my maths out.....25.6 kg, or roughly 56 lbs. That'd be a very good start! :)

That sounds like a great plan but my intend was to get rid of the weight until summer. But i`m kinda concerned about the effects of this "fast" weight loss. I was thinking since i`m getting this drastic change some of the body skin wont have the time to set in place aka the belly and other parts. Can someone recommend a diet that would get me to loose 1.6k a week? So far i cant get to a gim so i started walking like 2km or more, cant really tell the distance

Just realised I actually got it wrong - I gave you the numbers for 1%, not 2%, but it looks still like a rather realistic goal to me.

You're still young, so your skin has more elasticity than when you're older, so there is a good chance that it will heal itself, but it takes time, up to 2 years depending on how bad it was. The slower you lose weight, the more time your skin has to adjust.

As for a 'diet', I'm not a fan of diets, because they are temporary, and as soon as you go off the diet, and eat normally, you will gain the weight back. Try a lifestyle change instead. Eat less, cut out junk-food (or at least most of it), sweets and full-sugar drinks, and keep an eye on how many calories you eat.

Have a look around the forum and check the stickies, there is tons of information about how to do it, and links to calculators where you can find out how many calories you need, and how many you should eat to lose weight. Good luck with your weightloss! :)
