Weight loss pills?

I am not the only person in the world that has decided to take a diet pill, of course I am glad when I can discuss my diet pill with someone else. Alot of people won't admit that they are taking one. At least I admit that I am weak and need the help of a pill. It is just a kickstart, nothing more. I think other people who are deciding to take a diet pill are interested in which ones are good and which ones are bad. Like I checked different ones like Alli and so on, it is better to hear about the side effects, then just go out and order any kind of pill.

Odd thing is that Angelshoes has only posted in this thread. She'll respond quickly to this thread as if she's actually regularly on the site, but then come to find out she only visits the site to post in this diet pill thread. Okie dokie then .

I didn't really want to take a diet pill, but I have failed in every diet I have tried, I needed a kickstart, and to tell you the truth it has really helped. Yes, I only post in this one thread, why should I write my problem in every thread here, I think that 1 is more than enough. I do read the other posts.

Mind you, you failed in every diet you tried because you most likely were hung up on the fact it was a 'diet' not a lifestyle change. It is suspecious that you only post here- looks like you have an agenda. No stats really to speak off just alot of !!!!!!.
Bah- have fun. Enjoy your pills and your weight loss.

I totally agree with you. But how to change the lifestyle? I mean most people came to this forum because they really need to lose weight and don't know how. And I think that dieting is usually the first step. Or what do you think? How do get the lifestyle changed?

Jane you've been told this in every single thread you've started every time you've beenlooking for a quick fix.

Read the stickied threads int he forum..

Weight loss is not complicated - you make it more complicated because you seem to want to lose 20lbs in one night...

It takes time - it takes consistency - it takes patience.. It takes a little bit of effort and willingness to put in that effort.

There is a ton of info on this forum - you have chosen to ignore every bit of it...

Well, I have lost weight with the help of my diet pill, it was a good push for me, I don't follow a diet, I have changed my eating habits, it is not easy, but it is possible if you work on it. A diet, for me, is nothing I can stick to forever, but changing my eating habits is something I can stick to for the rest of my life.

Well, I needed this crutch, and it has helped me very much, I know I won't gain the weight back. I have started different activeties that are fun and that I will always stick to. Hey, the diet pill helped me get into a different lifestyle. so it was worth it to me. I am not going to take it forever, and now I know I never want the weight back, and being more active is great. Ok might be I was able to do this alone, but I don't think so, not me.

Diet pills Can Be Helpful......

I am needing to lose at least 65 pounds, and the gain to my present 220 pounds was rather rapid, disgustingly so. :puke: Anyway, my Dr. has prescribed Phenteramine, which is an appetitie supressant that also somewhat increases metabolism. I need this help, because I have a thyroid disorder (currently being treated) that makes my metabolism little to nil. I was size four to six for over five years after losing about 75 pounds--I used Phenteramine for two months then, at the beginning. I got married, just let my judgment go...but mainly, my thyroid problem became so severe and caused severe depression. I didn't know, for over a year, why I couldn't get out of bed--why it exhausted me to bathe--why my hair was thinning--etc. I ate junk, large amounts of all food, and just stayed home sitting, sleeping. Voila! Fat again. I am four months into the correction of the thyroid, and feeling oh-so-much better :hurray:, and the Phenteramine helps with a jump-start. It's benefits really outweigh risks--obesity is dangerous business. And not to mention, the no cute clothes (hardly any fit), lower self-esteem because of the weight gain, and feeling like a Weeble that WILL fall down! I'm just miserable and a blob. So today I walked (it hurt!!but I walked 3/4 mile,) and enjoyed fruit, lean meat and some wheat bread with a small salad. One day down. I've been here before and conquered! Please encourage me...pray for me....and any friends that need me for a friend--I'm a good one!
Blessings!

I'm also taking Redusyn, which is is Meridia here in the States.

I agree with Angelshoes -- it's a good way of handling a drastic diet/lifestyle change, if other attempts haven't worked.

For me, Meridia has allowed me the space to think about what I want to eat, because it does take the hunger away -- it also takes away a certain obsession with food, which allows you to make better health choices.

What it doesn't do is control the psychological stuff, so if you're eating for other reasons than hunger, then I don't know if it would work.

But because my blood sugar drops so severely when I'm hungry, the Meridia helps me get home instead of driving to the first fast food place to grab whatever I can, so I can make better choices. It also helps me *THINK* about what I am eating. And it helps me cue into my "fullness" a lot easier than I did before.

Do I think it's a miracle cure? No, not at all. The food/exercise change has to be there, because Meridia isn't going to "increase your metabolism" or "magically melt" the pounds away. There is effort that you have to put into it.

And my doctor has said that the Meridia wears off after six months. The effect is no longer the same, and that is because of the type of medication that Meridia falls under. So, he advised me to use the next five-six months (I've been taking it now for 1 month) and take off as much weight as possible, because in September, I'll be on my own, without this "crutch."

I'm hoping to be down to 150-160 by then, since that's the weight he wants me to reach.

I don't think this is a spammer, and if it were, then it's fooled me. I'm not, but I do find this drug is particularly useful for me.

How long have you been taking redusyn/merida? It seems like it works quite good for you too. But you said that it is not magical cure and that you have to put in lots of effort. What kind of effort do you mean? Do you mean something like exercising every day and eating healthy food or are there any other things you need to think about?

Seriously Jane.

You cannot really be this obtuse, can you?
You ask these questions constantly.
Please search on these topics. You are pregnant right? How well are you eating to get your child proper nutrition?
Healthy eating is really no different than that.

I am glad that there is someone else who understands me, and the reason I am taking redusyn. It is really just a kickstart, I know that my eating habits were bad and that they have to change, and they finally are. I am more active than I ever was, and I am going to keep this up, I too want to wear cute clothes !! Good Luck Girls, and keep me posted !!

THIS BULL SHIT SUPPLEMENT THAT ANGELSHOES KEEPS TALKING ABOUT IS NOT MERIDIA. This is a supplement made with Hoodia and other stuff. She/he/it is definitely a spammer cuz she makes sure to mention the supplement's name in EVERY post, this is the only thread she visits on our wonderful forum, and she's totally full of shit.

I would agree if these people were talking about MERIDIA then this would be a legit discussion, and they would not be spammers, but these people are peddling one of those supplement type non-prescription diet pills. So be careful when you read their posts.

Ahhhh... yes, I stand corrected.

I thought Redusyn was Meridia, but it's not. The equivalent of Mediria is Reductil (Europe).

My apologies. I do not know what Redusyn is, and I cannot comment on what it is (clearly!!!!!!) or whether the effects are beneficial or not.

But I still stand on what I said about Meridia.

JANE -- everything you have to do to lose weight: eat healthier options, exercise (whether that's in the gym or talking walks around the neighbor, as long as your body is moving).

There are no magic pills, and it sounds like you're looking for one. I'm sorry. Trust me, if there was, I would have found it by now.

Yes it might be possible that some questions recur. The reason is that I want to talk to as many people as possible before making my decision if I am going to try redusyn AFTER my pregnancy or not. I am just interested in different experiences. I have never said that I am definitely going to try a diet pill!
So you wouldn't recommend Mediria to me, winedeer, would you?

If you are not spammers, please tell me why you only seem to bring up this one diet pill starting with an "R" which NO ONE has EVER HEARD OF except you two. This seems to be one of those bottom of the barrel type of supplements, not some legit diet pill like Meridia. But low and behold, these two, Angelshoes and Jane, seem to mention that specific supplement in every single one of their posts, as if everyone's talking about it. Between this, and the bad grammar on the site about "R", I would be VERY LEARY about taking that particular supplement they keep referencing. I mean, if the company is so short on cash that it needs someone like Angelshoes to spread the word about it, I would start to wonder about what they put into that supplement and I'd worry about my health. DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE PEOPLE.

Talk to your doctor and get something legit if that's what you need to lose your weight.

I bring up this one diet pill because it is the one I am taking and it is the one that is helping me to lose weight. Should I mention other pills besides the one i am taking, what for, sorry about the grammar, I am not writing here to be judged on my grammar, so what if it is not perfect, I don't think I have to defend myself in a weight lose forum because of the way I write.
