Weight Loss Journey for Feeling Gooder

Thanks Mystic and MrXian, feels gooder to feel gooder again. Sickness is almost done but still dealing with a cough that won't go away.

Have an MRI scheduled to check out my knee in a couple weeks so looking forward to figuring out what was going on and hopefully get a green light to resume some limited amount of running.

Ouch, I found my set of weights in the basement last night and although they've been doing an admirable job keeping the flooring from floating away they hadn't been getting much use in the past few months.

Judging my the DOMS I'm feeling, I think I may have slightly overdid it even though I scaled back the weight I was using quite a bit.

After a monster week last week my weight went back up just over a pound last week. Quite happy with that result as I stayed on plan and got the exercise in I was hoping for. Looking to drop a couple more this week now that I'm over the cold and dehydration.

Back again, have received an all clear on the knee and getting back into the groove again. Have to take it slow but want to start jogging again once spring gets here. Starting out with increased walking and more focus on making better food choices.

Welcome back Feelinggooder! We've missed you! Good news that you have the all clear for your knee...do start slow...very slowly and you might start with low impact...my friend the elliptical comes to mind!
So glad both you and Brawny are back....starting to feel lonely (actually not exactly true, I have picked up some new forum friends too!) and glad to see some familiar "faces"!

Good choices to you my friend!

Sarah

Past month has been mediocre on all fronts. Still holding at 242.2 lbs and the same body fat percentage.

Picking up a fitbit as a toy for additional motivation and looking forward to getting back into a training routine now that winter is finally done.

Fitbit has arrived. Fun toy so far and looking forward to using it to count steps and track sleep patterns.

Not sure how it tracks sleep but reportedly I woke up 26 times last night, no wonder I feel tired.

Down 1.5 lbs this week. Can really see a difference with the fitbit stats on days that I manage to walk to/from work. Weather constantly improving and will soon be snow free.

Holding very steady for the past couple weeks with swings up and down in between. Have been out for a run twice in the last week and the knee feels good and started to mix in rollerblading this morning. Different muscle groups and a lot less pounding on the knees.

On the not so good front, had a bad day of eating last Saturday and still working off the effects.

Added a scooter to my work commute mix. Seems to travel at similar pace as my roller blades and after effects in terms of soreness are approximately the same.

The weather has turned really nice so it's easier to spend time outside and exercise than it has been over the winter. Yesterday marked the end of nearly a month straight of having friends and family visit so I want to get back to a better routine. Following yet another day of bad eating on the weekend I weighed in at 245lbs yesterday so going to start tracking and posting weight on a regular basis again before this gets any worse.

Weighed in yesterday at 244.7 lbs when I woke up and at 239.5 today when I woke up. Tuesday always seems to be the low day on the week so will see how the weight holds through to Friday.

Learning to balance on the scooter and figuring out the danger spots that are going to send me flying at some point. Had a couple near tumbles today.

Not sure I have ever rode a scooter in my life. Of course I've never been on roller blades either.

Anyway, good to see you checking in. Keep fighting the gooder fight.

Thanks MrVee,

Going to start logging weight more regularly and watching the food intake for a while.

My weight seems to fluctuate a lot and bounced back to 240.6 today. Not going to worry about the day to day weight but will be good to see how it trends over time.

Back down to 239.8lbs today after a nice 10 mile scooter ride yesterday. Left scooter at home today and decided on roller blades as commuter-helpers.

Slightly slower than the scooter but faster than a fast run and a lot less impact.
