Was time to scratch off another of my goals from my first post. Completed a 5k race today and it went surprisingly well.
Started at a decent pace for the first km but then didn't notice the 2km marker so I started picking up my leisurely pace and before I knew it I was at the 2.5k turnaround point. Second half of the run hurt quite a bit more but finished with a chip time of 29:15 which blew my target time out of the water.
Rest of the week has gone well, been concentrating on getting more calories in each day as all this activity is really burning a lot of fuel.
Shooting for 2700 calories a day at this point but it's really hard to eat that many when the food is healthy. More snacks!!!

I went to the Fat2fit website and downloaded the podcast and listened to it on the elliptical this morning...really interesting stuff! Thanks for sharing that site...I'm going to subscribe to the podcast! I don't understand all the BMR and deficit etc...but the review they gave on the book wheat belly sounded good enough for me to download that book and put it on my ipod touch...I've been looking for a good book to try to download and that looks like a good one!
