Hey feeling gooder! Thanks for stopping by my diary, and as usual, posting very supportive comments! I've thought about getting a Wii fit...but like you, I 've heard a girlfriend of mine say she just didn't like the avitar blowing up so big when she put her stats in! You are cranking out the exercises!...You go man!

Sarah

Scbibhouse, try gettting an Xbox with a connect, no blowing up there and their fitness and dance games are excellent (like Dance Central and Zumba).

at least with the xbox theres nothing to stand on. i think if i jumped up and down on a wii fit my fat ass would break it in 2 seconds.

Say friend

Hanging in there?

I am attempting (feebly of late) to regain some momentum. Hope you are tearing it up.

I guess we didnt get overweight overnight and we won't get skinny that way either.

Good days/Bad days but more good than bad,

Diet has been pretty reasonable but eliminating snacking after dinner is an ongoing battle. Still find I have to keep my distance from the fridge and cupboards anytime I'm at home to avoid a lot of mindless eating.

Had a couple slow days on the motivation front with long days at work but still managed to get in a few tough workout sessions. Forcing myself to include walking into my daily commuting routine has been a big plus.

In position to hit my weekly workout goals. Have two days left and currently sitting at:

Squats 500/500 reps

Burpees 170/200 reps

Pushups 365/500 reps

Plank 465/600 seconds

Fight through February!

Thats what we gotta do. I am trying to pick up some steam. I have had 1 good day in a row and am shootin for 2!

Impressive huh?

Fightin' indeed... spring is right around the corner so got to do something to get rid of these winter blahs...

1 day is impressive as it's the hardest 1... Not only is it the loneliest number but 1 day leads to 2 which leads to ....

fitting in that walking is great as part as your routine is great. I don't drive, so I cycle to the shops etc, not far, but It all counts to keep up fitness levels. :)

totally get the mindless eating when at home. everytime i get up to do something...i.e make a cu pa, It's habit that I go to the fridge..at the moment I have three bags of salad/spinach in there and I am grabbing that and also I have lots of frozen blueberries in my freezer :)

Weekly exercise goals hit with a day to spare.

Squats 500/500 reps

Burpees 200/200 reps

Pushups 500/500 reps

Plank 600/600 seconds

Maybe a little weight training tomorrow and come up with new goals for next week. Hope all are having/had a great weekend

Wow, you go for it feelinggooder! I'm impressed...what's a burpee? Sounds bad! I'm double impressed with 500 pushups...God...I can't imagine! Very good job!

Sarah

Burpees are a form of modern day torture that the exercise industry has convinced fat people to inflict upon themselves... Lot of variations but mine start from a standing position, bend down, put hands on the ground, jump both legs back to form a plank position, jump both legs back forward and then spring to my feet with a little hop at the end.

Heading out of town for the night so did my weekly weigh in today instead of tomorrow. Updated the front page of diary with numbers but body fat percentage and weight took another drop so I will call that another successful week.

Hey Feelinggooder,

Congratulations on your results for the week! And just in time for a get away weekend! Thanks for the explanation on a burpee. Sounds worse than I imagined! I might try some though...I think my knees would fit under my chest now with a little contortion!

Keep up the good work!!

Sarah

Look at you go. Amazing results so far. Thanks for visiting my journal. Gonna keep my eye on you. :) Hope you are having a wonderful long weekend.

Ahhh, back from the weekend trip. Very relaxing and light on the exercise front however I did manage to put in my first treadmill session. Did 1 minute walk/3 minute jog with a 0.5 incline for a 30 minute session. Covered 2.83 miles so was pretty stoked about that.

Seems like now is about the time to start the jogging sessions again. With the first 7 weeks behind me and weight now back down to a decent point jogging shouldn't cause any significant issues if I ease into it. Thinking about swapping in my 10k run in May for a half marathon. Have opportunities to get a 5k in next month and a 10k in April as part of the preparations and by the end of May I should have the time I need to shed a few more pounds and build up my running endurance.

Way to go on planting those jogging seeds. hope the sprout into big 10K flowers!

I figure I am 10-15lbs away from any jogging. Maybe late march) (i hope)

Wow You are doing awesome, losing a lot quickly and 500 push ups!!!! wow u must be in pretty good shape and sounds like even with some walking you were doing close to 10 min miles... I don't even know if I can do a 10 min mile ...I do about a 15min mile jogging. Good job on everything!

Thanks for visiting rain forest... Last time I did any serious running I was hitting 10 minute miles over a 10 mile run so would like to get back to being able to sustain that pace. With the 3/1 I was doing 6.3 run and 4.0 walk and finished with a 30 second 9.7 which I was quite happy with but I'm nowhere near being able to sustain that pace for more than 30 minutes.

Exercise is being done with short sets of each exercise to hit a weekly total for each. After a slow start to the week, I punched a good session throughout the day yesterday and am now on the way to meeting the goals.

Numbers so far

80/300 lunges, 140/500 pushups, 75/250 burpees, 25k/50k weight lifted.
