Weight loss for better waterpolo-help

So the year before last i took off 30 lbs of weight that id had on me since i was 10 (im 17 now and a girl, thats probably important). Im currently 165 and 5' 10. I play water polo competitively and recently got a new coach. He told me that i need to drop another 20 pounds to be a better goalie since if i was thinner i could jump out of the water higher. I know hes right, and I know how to lose weight and keep it off, and going to 145 is in no way out of my healthy weight range, Im just stuck on motivation. I wanted to lose weight before he told me this too. Also, losing the weight should also focus on maybe changing body composition, fat to muscle and all that jazz. Sigh. Idk how to get started and I feel silly asking, but yeah..help?
