Weight Loss and BMR?

So i'm trying to lose weight, i'm 16 years old, 275 lbs (since I checked last weekend) and 6'1". On this website I found my BMR is 2604 calories a day. So that means thats what my body burns if I did absolutely nothing every day. Where I'm confused is that i usually only eat around 2000 calories a day. I don't seem to be losing any weight, and i'v been doing this without realizing it for a few months. Also I just started using an exercise bike which burns about 500-600 calories for an hour of riding. Is it the foods that I eat? It's not like I eat deep fried twinkies or anything, basically what a normal teenager eats. Would It be possible to lose 75 pounds in a year? Also what motivation techniques can I use to push myself to exercise?

Like BMI , the BMR calculations are very, very rough estimates that are actually not often very accurate.

For example, my BMI in the AFTER photo below calculates to over 30, which would classify my as OBESE

I had gone from nearly 250 to 220 in these Before/After photos.
So this is just is one single example of how BMI math formulas are not "gospel"

The same for BMR
Your metabolic rate is determined by a number of factors ... genetics, body composition (muscle-vs fat ratio), etc..etc..etc..

The real scientific truth is one should simply ignore these kinds of theoretical formulas and instead "feed the body they want'

What does this mean ?

Basically if you have an idea that a lean bodyweight of 200 lbs would be right for you

Eat 175-200 grams of protein per day
Eat 200 X 0.2 = 40 grams of fat per day
Then ..... modify your carbs up or down as needed from a base starting level of (Desired weight X 1.5) = 300 grams per day.

Divide and space these macronutrients out over 5-6 meals to allow for assimilation

Combine this with a routine of weight resistance training & cardio 3 days per week and you should be able to lose on average 2 pounds per week

I just finished working with 2 women in their 50s who lost 35 and 40 pounds respectively over 6 months ------ So at your age, you should be able to reach your goals.

Remember -- Consistency is the key to success
