No idea. Possibly nothing...weight does fluctuate.

No worries,

Basically it 'estimates' how many calories you burn just by being alive. Once you have your BMR you need to times it by the level of activity you have, i.e:

If you are sedentary (little or no exercise) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.2

If you are lightly active (light exercise/sports 1-3 days/week) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.375

If you are moderatetely active (moderate exercise/sports 3-5 days/week) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.55

If you are very active (hard exercise/sports 6-7 days a week) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.725

If you are extra active (very hard exercise/sports & physical job or 2x training) : Calorie-Calculation = BMR x 1.9

So if your BMR is say 2285, and you have a moderate activity lifestyle, you would do the following..

2285x1.55= 3541 calories.

Then the general idea is too eat around 500 cal less than your BMR to lose weight slow and healthily, so in my example you would eat 3041 calories a day. I personally average around 1000 cal lower than my BMR.

Obv the important thing with this is to make sure you track your calorie intake, try either , or my new fav .

Hope this helps

Hey

Just done the calculator and it says

2126.4

My Maths is terrible though lol always liked drama and english at school.

Mine isnt much better :)

Does this include your level of activity, or is that just the result from the calculator?

The FitDay thing is showing as Calories Burned (3,227 calories)
Does that mean how many my body burns a day?

No, not bad, just not currently correct...yet

Which would you say describes you best from the following:

If you are sedentary (little or no exercise)

If you are lightly active (light exercise/sports 1-3 days/week) If you are

moderatetely active (moderate exercise/sports 3-5 days/week) If you are

very active (hard exercise/sports 6-7 days a week) If you are extra active(very hard exercise/sports & physical job or 2x training)

Ok, so your BMR is 2923.8 calories.

So if you remove say 500, you wanna be aiming for no more than 2423.8 calories a day.

Mix this with some exercise and fingers crossed ou'll get the results your after.

So 2423.8 is like a max?
what if I have less? does it matter?

Well your estimated number of calories for maintaing your current weight is 2923.8 calories, so I would call this the max.

The higher the deficit between calories consumed (i.e eating) and calories spent (i.e exercise) the more weight you will lose..although If you eat too fewer calories you can do you body harm, and also your less likely to keep the weight off in the long run.

If you aim for around 2400 calories this will help you to eat a more varied diet, and will likely enable you to keep this up forever..

Gotta remember this is a lifestyle change and not a diet!!

Hey!

Thanks everyone for the great advise!!!!!
really been a great help thank you!

one more thing I do wanna ask, does your weight change during different times of day cause I weigh'd myself on a morning and it said 211.8 and then at night it said 209.5

I dont norm do this but was curious.

Yepp, weight fluctuates over the day, that's perfectly normal. If you want to weigh yourself, pick one day in the week, and weigh yourself at the same time of the day if possible.

I usually weigh in either Sat or Sunday, around 11-ish in the morning, after a shower, just as an example.

Whatever works best for you Leed. You have to realize that eating/drinking will also flucuate your weight as will other 'movements' during the day... so just try and do it at a time that works best for you. I know after I get out of the shower in the morning before I eat breakfast my body is pretty much at a 'rested' point and so that is when I weigh myself... I also happen to do it every day but that is more of a motivator for me than for others... Some people prefer once a week so as they see/have longer to work towards their results all at once... i.e. if I lose 2 lbs over a week, weighing in 7 times isn't much each time... but if you weigh in Friday morning, then wait 7 days, and weigh in and see 2 lbs lost that is nice as well.
