Weighing myself.

For some reason i had strange weighing results last week, i went to Florida last Monday for 3 days, and consumed beer and ate pretty much junk when i was there didnt go to the gym either, i weighed 195lbs roughly before i left for Florida, when i came back on the Thursday morning i went to the gym in the night and had to weigh myself due to me knowing i must have put weight on, well the scales were reading 202lbs! i thought that was alot to put on over 3 days, and i wasnt eating junk constantly. Anyway went to the gym Friday and Saturday, and decided to weigh myself Saturday again, and what did the scales say?....195lbs exact. I couldnt have lost 7lbs in 2/3 days surely, what could have caused the scales to say 202lbs? Water weight?
Also the scales in question are digital and top of the range, so it couldnt have been a fault there surely :blush5:

Surprisingly scales can fluctuate a lot. For example when I came home tonight I weighed in at 179.5. After eating and drinking for just tonight I'm up to 182. By tomorrow morning before I leave for work I could be back down to 179.5 or even lower. It's crazy what your body can do in a short period of time lol.

Yes your right! I think the scales showed 202lbs was because the amount of water i've been drinking in the day, i usually drink 8-10 bottles (.5l) in work, then more in the gym and home, and apparently 1 gallon of water weighs 8lbs.

Same goes for my weighing today, i was 199lbs, that was after i ran 4.5 miles, and 30mins on the x trainer. I'll weigh myself in the morning to see if there's a big difference.

Be careful with the massive amounts of weigh ins. I find myself am a bit obsessed. Like every time I'm in the bathroom I check it. Some might tell you it's a problem but I enjoy it and it hasn't failed me yet.

I guess I just like to see what works and what doesn't. What makes me lose faster and what is just a waste of time.

I allways seem to weigh myself when i enter the bathroom! And just like you, it hasnt failed me yet, it keeps me on my toes and show's me if my plan is working, which it is right now. When i see a change i'll change my plan, i really think this will help me stick to my diet, has many times before i have failed and given up, i havent been more happier with the one im on now...simple healthy eating with plenty of excercise.:coolgleamA:
