Weighing everyday?

I used to weigh myself every morning out of habit but I wanted to see if I could go a week without getting on the scale now that I've started my diet... I failed. So I am just wondering...

How many people weigh themselves everyday?

Does it help with motivation or are there some people who have found it has a negative effect?

I weigh myself everyday. I've tried to stop (just look at my journal) but it never works, I just have to know that bloody number.

While it does cause some negative feelings when I see upward fluctuations I do enjoy seeing how my body changes on a day-to-day basis, even if it is only water weight 95% of the time.

I think, as long as you take the results with a grain of salt you will be fine :)

I have the same thing, for whatever reason I have to know how much I weigh, just a nervous habit of the lifestyle change I suppose. I guess I have to try and not take little weight gains to heart if my exercise and nutrition is spot on!

I've been doing it recently but it makes me more harm than good.
I am a slow-weight loser. that is just how things go- even with the exercise and calorie counting I don't lose weight as fast as others and checking the scale constantly makes me feel frustrated.
I rather stay on focus with my healthy lifestyle and check the scale once or twice a month from now on!

I only weigh myself once a week. I don't want to obsess over every daily fluctuation. I feel like that would make me a slave to the scale.

I do log all my food and exercise, though, every day.

I wish I could weigh once / week. I've just stopped trying b/c it proved to be rather pointless for me. I'm a slave, fo' sho'

Sadly, im another one that is a slave to the scale. Everyday, multiple times. I don't know how healthy that is but it is what it is.. LORD help me, I will be out of town all weekend.

An easy way to lose weight is, change in eating habit. Try to eat less sugar and fat because calories and fat is the main cause of over weight and try to burn it more through exercise or work.

* It is easy way to reduce calories and fat from meals.
* Eat vegetables and fruit.
* Avoid junk food and food, which is rich in calories and fat.
* Say no to Alcohol and try to avoid cheeses and cream.
* Choose foods that are lower in fat or have fewer calories.
* Eat little sweet, collocates, fats and oils.
* Drink enough fluid like water, milk, and soups.

Exercise habits :
Exercises are a good and cheap way to reduce excess weight and keep our body fit. Do exercise at least one hour or try to play out door game if possible because exercise is a tool of good health and long and happy life.

I weigh myself once a week, but I've been debating on whether I should be doing it once a month instead. I don't think it matters as long as you don't obsess over it! :)

I try to just weigh in twice a week...on Monday and Thursday...but usually end up hoppin' on the scale a few other times during the week as well! I never use to even own a scale, but since I have started losing weight, I decided to buy one...now I can't seem to stay off of it!

When I was losing weight after my pregnancy I would weight myself several times a day. It was so horrible! Now I'm trying to keep it to weighing myself every couple of days only and it feels much better. You get bigger results and you don't notice the weight fluctuations that can worry or stress you out. everyone is different though and that's just what I noticed personally.
